The BFI is the lead organisation for film in the UK
We use Lottery funds to support film production, distribution, education and audience development. Since 1933 we’ve cared for the BFI National Archive, and celebrated the best of British and international filmmaking through festivals, film restoration, DVD releases and cinema programming.

Support the BFI
We’re always working to preserve the history and artefacts of film and television culture and make them available to as many people as possible, forever. But we can only do this with your help and support.
We are a registered charity and we depend largely on private sources of funding – so please join us and support our work as a BFI Member, donor, sponsor or corporate partner.
Funding
We are also funded by a large number of generous individuals, trusts and corporations.
