ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM-TV) -- WETM-TV is back on the air.
We were knocked off the air Thursday by the tornado that hit west Elmira where our transmitter and tower are located.
Blue Ridge Cable, Dish, Haefele Cable, DirecTV and over-the-air viewers are now able to receive our signal as of 8:15 Saturday night.
Service was restored to all Time Warner Cable customers Friday.
Again, we apologize for our loss of signal during the last few days.
NBC Olympic coverage will continue as planned. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
(WETM-TV)-- New York State Electric and Gas has not been able to restore power to our transmitter. As a result we are not able to provide service to Direct TV or Dish subscribers.
We apologize for the inconvenience. We anticipate having full power by Midday Saturday.
We have restored service to all Time Warner Cable customers.
