It was reported earlier this week that Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family) and Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) were set to join the long-awaited remake of the Belgian thriller Loft.

The whodunit, which revolves around five married friends and their mistresses, already had Patrick Wilson (Little Children) and James Marsden (Hop) signed on, and now the fifth lead role is filled. Matthias Schoenaerts, one of the original Belgian cast members, will reprise his role as one of the adulterous men.

The story, written by Bart De Pauw, revolves around five married friends who share a loft to meet their mistresses. One day, they find the body of an unknown woman in the loft. As there are only five keys to the loft, the five men begin to suspect each other of murder.

Erik Van Looy, who directed the original Flemish spoken film, will return to the loft to helm the English-language remake, as was confirmed by Variety.

A Nightmare on Elm Street writer Wesley Strick is adapting the original screenplay, according to

Production is expected to begin later this spring.

Earlier this year, Schoenaerts booked great success with the Belgian crime movie Bullhead. The film focuses on a young Limburg cattle farmer (Schoenaerts) who becomes involved with the hormone mafia.
