FRANCE 24-RFI Web Documentary Award
« LA ZONE » (www.lemonde.fr/lazone), by Bruno MASI (journalist) and Guillaume HERBAUT (journalist, photographer), has been named winning entry of the 3rd FRANCE 24-RFI Web Documentary Award, following the jury's deliberations at the Visa pour l'Image – Perpignan photojournalism festival. This web documentary was co-produced by Agat Films & Compagnie et lemonde.fr.
This Award is the first of its kind in France. Organised within the framework of the leading international photojournalism Festival, FRANCE 24 and RFI aim to contribute to the development of interactivity and information.
The web documentary is a new way of approaching the news online that uses image, text, sound and videos and exploits all the resources offered by the Internet.
The first FRANCE 24-RFI Web Documentary Award was awarded to the "Corps Incarcéré", a collective work by the Monde Interactif. "Prison Valley", by Philippe BRAULT and David DUFRESNE, won the 2nd edition of the FRANCE 24-RFI Web Documentary Award. The web documentary was produced by UPIAN and co-produced by ARTE.
