MANILA, Philippines – Diego Loyzaga, the son of Kapuso talent Cesar Montano, has opted to bloom on the other side of the fence by signing a three-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN. He will be managed by Coco Martin's manager, Biboy Arboleda.

Both Diego's parents are actors (and Teresa’s sister Bing Loyzaga is also in showbiz) but he says joining show business was his choice.

“I enjoy acting po. At school, we have theater po, I really enjoy being part of it. That’s one of the reasons, besides my parents po, that I want to try if I am capable of being what they have achieved,” Push quoted him as saying.

Diego got his father’s nod by promising him that his studies will remain top priority.

In apparent assurance that he will keep his word, Diego said his showbiz workload is “organized.”

“They’ll be scheduling times when I can work and not work because of my school, so it’s very timed and organized po,” said he.

For his first project with ABS-CBN, Diego is cast in the primetime series “Mara Clara,” where he will teamed up with Julia Montes, who plays Clara.
