| Over 60 years of Southwest Alabama Woodland and Coastal experiences and service to our Scouts and communities. It is the mission of the Mobile Area Council Camping Program to provide Scouts and their families an outdoor educational experience through which they are afforded opportunities to be challenged, work toward advancement, participate with their groups while learning and having fun. |

| Scouting's Outdoor Program... "Scouting is three-quarters...outing" |
| Scouting provides many opportunities for youth to participate in adventures. From day hikes to Camp-O-Rees, summer camp and day camp, the activities match the interests and abilities of the Scouts. Older Scouts may participate in high-adventure programs such as rock climbing, rappelling, and whitewater rafting. Younger Scouts may attend summer camps and day camps, and learn teamwork within their den, patrol and troop. Summer camp and day camp blend a fun program with advancement requirements to reinforce skills learned throughout the year. In Scouting, fitness is fun with a purpose. |

Camp Maubila is located about 1 hour 40 minutes from downtown Mobile and encompasses over 686 acres. The property includes a lake for water sports, a swimming pool, one large dinning hall, campsites and facilities for archery, marksmanship and nature study. It also includes a state of the art conference and training facility for weekend conferences. |
