Career highlights:

Selection for Team GB capped a meteoric rise. Won the senior ABA title in only his 18th fight in 2010 and hours later turned down £50,000 to turn professional. Claimed silver medal at World Amateur Championships in 2011 after losing thrilling final by a point.

A talented footballer and all-around athlete, Anthony ran the 100m in 11sec aged 15.

How it all began:

Only started boxing aged 18 when he moved to London and his cousin, Ben, suggested he take up the sport to keep himself busy. He "fell in love with the sport" from day one.

His boxing club in Finchley was also home to British heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora and former European champion Spencer Oliver.

Biggest Disappointment:

Suspended over allegations that he was caught in possession of herbal cannabis and is awaiting a court verdict.

Once taught Will Smith some boxing moves, conceding gracefully "I’m glad he’s not in the Games because he would give me a bit of a challenge".
