Barry Hawkins made the first official maximum break of his career in reaching the last 16 of Star Xing Pai Players Tour Championship event three.

The 147 came during Hawkins' last 32 match against James McGouran, which he went on to win 4-1.

It's the 72nd official maximum in snooker history and the second in the PTC series, after Kurt Maflin's in event one.

Hawkins will now face Brazil's Igor Figueiredo, who beat Joe Delaney 4-1, Ben Harrison 4-3 and Germany's Patrick Einsle, who he shares a house with in Gloucester, 4-1.

Event two winner Mark Selby continued his superb start to the season by beating Noppon Saengkham and Graeme Dott 4-0, then Ryan Day 4-1. He'll now face Judd Trump, who edged out Michael White 4-3.

Also through to the last 16 are Matthew Selt, Jack Lisowski, Ian McCulloch and Liang Wenbo.
