Dragon Gate USA Partners with The Fight Network

Press Release / August 18, 2009 - 4:16pm

The Fight Network and Dragon Gate USA are pleased to announce a partnership that will see some of the most action-packed professional wrestling action coming to North America’s only 24/7 combat sports channel.

The Fight Network will immediately begin airing a special preview show for the forthcoming Dragon Gate USA pay-per-view that debuts on Sept. 4, in addition to other video content courtesy of Dragon Gate USA.

"The Fight Network has done a tremendous job of gathering a diverse range of footage in the Combat Sports genre. It is only a natural fit for Dragon Gate USA to offer these videos. The Fight Network is on the cutting edge of everything that is fresh and original in the pugilistic arena and there is nothing that evolves pro wrestling like Dragon Gate USA,” said Gabe Sapolsky, Vice President of Dragon Gate USA.

Dragon Gate USA made its North American debut this past July with a show that featured talent such as Naruki Doi, Shingo, Masato Yoshino and the fast rising duo of The Young Bucks, highlights of which will be part of the deal along with video recaps of upcoming events.

“Any fan of Japanese pro wrestling needs no introduction to the Dragon Gate brand and with the debut of the Dragon Gate USA product, it was a perfect fit to bring this innovative style of professional wrestling to The Fight Network,” said John Pollock, who serves as a wrestling analyst, host & producer at The Fight Network.
