Mark Crossley set to hang up his boots
FORMER Nottingham Forest legend Mark Crossley is hanging up his boots at the end of the season.
He currently assists manager John Sheridan at League Two Chesterfield.
Crossley, who spent 13 years at the City Ground, is 41 and struggling with a long-term back injury.
"The Chesterfield lads want me to play in goal for the Vets team, the Dinosaurs, but I've told them I'm already a dinosaur," said Crossley, who made more than 300 League appearances for the Reds before spells at Middlesbrough, Fulham and Oldham.
"I want to concentrate on my coaching and want to be a manager one day.
"In fact, I'd love to manage Forest one day. I still love the club and look for their results."
Crossley is publishing his life story 'Big Norm' on September 1. E-mail bignorms_book@live.co.uk for details.

“Owd Norm might have been a bit of a cult hero but he was a poor, clumsy keeper.
He had some right howlers between the sticks. Grim, take off your rose tinted bins”
