Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Stenolechia gemmella (Linnaeus, 1758)

Observed in many places in Belgium.

The larva lives exclusively on Quercus and has been found boring in young shoots, causing withered leaves and occasionally swellings. Pupation normally in the shoot, occasionally outside.

The adults fly from late July till September. During the day they rest on bark in crevices and later come to light.
