GAP Connah's Quay extended their lead at the top of the Huws Gray Alliance to six points after battling to a goal-less draw at Llandudno.A power failure 25 minutes before kick-off threatened proceedings, but the game went ahead with partial floodlighting on a windy evening at Maesdu Park.
In a game of few chances, the Nomads were unable to make their numerical superiority count after Lee Thomas was sent-off on the hour after receiving a second caution for a foul on Jamie Petrie.
Former Nomads keeper Paul Whitfield had earlier parried a good effort from leading marksman Gary O'Toole.
James McIntosh headed wide from a Petrie corner but, when O'Toole got the ball in the net 15 minutes from time, provider Ben Collins was flagged offside.
The hosts went close when Ryan Williams hammered a left-footed effort from the edge of the box against an upright.
