Free Flu Shot Clinic for State of Kansas Employees

The State Employee Health Plan, in conjunction with CVS Caremark, is hosting a free flu shot clinic on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in the Governor’s Room, Overman Student Center from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  There is no cost to employees enrolled in the health plan and their covered dependents age 18 and up.  Retirees in plans A & B as well as Medicare Supplement plans are also eligible to attend.

  • Vaccinations will be given on a first come, first served basis.  Depending on time and location, you may experience lines.
  • Please bring your health plan card and/or CVS Caremark card to the clinic for identification purposes.
  • Seek approval from your supervisor if you need to take time off from work to attend.
  • Ask your doctor if you have medical questions such as who should receive the shot.

The Kelce College of Business is partnering with Wichita State's Center for Management Development to bring two affordable opportunities for quality professional development to the PSU campus.

Planning for the Unexpected

Mark Werner, Attorney At Law, will be presenting a "Planning for the Unexpected" workshop for PSU employees. Topics include:

  • The Estate Planning Life Cycle
  • Costs of Preparing an Estate Plan
  • Estate Planning with Minors at Home
  • Determination of Asset Values

HRS will also review items related to your employment at PSU that should be checked annually.

Reassignments in HRS

HRS has recently reassigned duties among Debbie Amershek and Kayla Devereaux with the goal of providing services more effectively and efficiently.  Debbie was the primary contact for unclassified employees and graduate assistants.  Kayla was the primary contact for classified and student employees.  Now, Debbie and Kayla will each handle the full range of HR-related issues for assigned departments within the University.  Here is a link to the list of departmental assignments.
