Shanker Ramamurthy is President of Global Growth & Operations of Thomson Reuters.

Shortly after joining Thomson Reuters in 2011 as President of Sales & Trading, his responsibilities expanded to lead the combined Sales & Trading and Investment & Advisory businesses of the company. Joining from IBM, where he was most recently General Manager of the Banking & Financial Markets business worldwide, he has spent more than 20 years as a strategic consultant to many of the world’s largest financial and banking organizations. He was a lead partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Financial Services consulting practice, joining IBM when they acquired the PwC consulting business.

A chartered accountant with an undergraduate degree in mathematics, Ramamurthy earned an MBA in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Masters in Information Science from the University of New South Wales in Australia.
