Match preview

Tottenham Hotspur
Manager Andre Villas-Boas must decide whether to recall Brad Friedel or stick with Hugo Lloris in goal after the Frenchman kept a clean sheet on his debut against Lazio in the Europa League. Spurs will give striker Emmanuel Adebayor (hamstring) a fitness test over the next 48 hours to see if he can play any part while Villas-Boas expects Kyle Naughton to be fit despite the defender injuring his right foot against Lazio. Scott Parker (Achilles), Heurelho Gomes (ankle), Jake Livermore (groin), Benoit Assou-Ekotto (knee) and Younes Kaboul (knee) are out.

Tottenham Hotspur (from): Lloris, Friedel, Cudicini, Gallas, Dawson, Walker, Vertonghen, Caulker, Naughton, Bale, Lennon, Sandro, Jenas, Dembele, Dempsey, Sigurdsson, Carroll, Townsend, Defoe, Adebayor.

Queens Park Rangers have a number of injury worries to contend with. The defence will be without Anton Ferdinand (hamstring), Fabio (hamstring), Stephane Mbia (groin) and Armand Traore (leg) for the White Hart Lane fixture. Adel Taarabt is a doubt after picking up a hamstring injury in training, while Samba Diakite (personal reasons) and Andrew Johnson (anterior cruciate ligament) are unavailable.

Provisional squad: Green, Cesar, Onuoha, Bosingwa, Hill, Nelsen, Derry, Park, Granero, Dyer, Taarabt, Hoilett, Faurlin, Wright-Phillips, Ephraim, Mackie, Zamora, Cisse.
