Four popular pet birds, hyacinth, military, great green, and scarlet macaws, may soon be listed as endangered. If and when this happens the interstate sales of all of these kinds of macaws would be illegal, even for captive bred birds. This means if you live in Ohio you would not be able to purchase a macaw from Florida.
Pet owners should be aware of any changes to avoid criminal violations.

A woman found a boa constrictor all snuggled in underneath her car this past week in Missouri. She called the officials and had the snake removed. We are assuming this is an escaped or released pet since these snakes are not native to the country and can't survive the winters in Missouri.
I guess we should all be looking under our cars before starting them, especially in the winter, for pets of all kinds seeking warmth from the engine.

Fluffy the snake in Ohio is no longer the longest snake in history. The title has now been passed onto Medusa the reticulated python in Kansas City. Medusa lives in a haunted house and regularly dines on rabbits, hogs, and deer and is usually found coiled up in his enclosure. Medusa measured in at 25ft., 2 inches and is 8 years old.
