Anuj Gurwara is doing a hip hop track for Allu Arjun in Vedam. Usually very cheerful and chirpy, the singer says he participated in a play recently and is also doing a role in Maryada Ramanna being directed by Rajamouli.
He adds, "Now I am doing a role as a North Indian in Maryada Ramanna. It's a very neutral character, more to establish other characters in the film. It was nice to get a call from Rajamouli's office..I'm having loads of fun and after singing for him it is great feeling to be directed by him. Expected to be released in June or July..what's driving me is the excitement of being back on the sets and to be directed by him, it's a wow team..I also did one song in Tamil for Yuvan Shankar Raja called Kadhal 2 Kalyanam. Maniratnam's assistant is making his debut as a director, his name is Milind Rau."
About his US trip Anuj sounds ecstatic and says it the crowds were very encouraging, the place was jampacked and the people really didn't expect him to sing beyond Panchadara Bomma but he did go with 20 songs on hand. He adds, "They must be thinking that I was this freak guy who writes in English, speaks in Hindi, sings in Telugu. Anyways it feels great to know that people drove so far to hear Panchadara Bomma, it was a great connect."
