Dumbo: 60th Anniversary Edition - 4.5 out of 5 (10/27/2001)
Disney has taken center stage lately with various "Broadway style" animation such as in Emperor's New Groove. None the less this Disney Fan is so thrilled Disney has been remastering and restoring their old classical masterpiece films yet keeping faithful to their original feel. DUMBO is one of those special timeless stories brought to the silver screen in 1941 and now 60 years later it is totally restored for DVD as eye candy for those like me, that have awaited such sweet & tasty Disney deli

Another of my childhood... - 4.5 out of 5 (1/5/2002)
One more for my dvd collection, and Disney's. I must say that I have a very special feeling with this movie, since is one of those that I watched with my mother as a child, and had very good moments and memories of it.
This doesn't means that the time has DEFINITLY passed. It isn't as I remembered it. When I watched it, years from now, I was hooked to the screen and the story really got me. Now, I was like, is that so?, I even was watching as the chapters passed.

Another one of Disney's classics put on DVD. - 4.25 out of 5 (12/27/2001)
I'm glad Disney is bringing their classics on DVD, and "Dumbo" is one of them. The sound is good, as are the extras and video quality. The picture shows some grain, mostly on the elephants, but this is due to the film's age and low budget. Otherwise, it looks sharp. My favorites in the extras department are two Disney Silly Symphony shorts, a commentary from animation historian John Canemaker, and the featurette "Celebrating Dumbo". This is one of the better Disney DVDs with good quality and lots of extras, so I'd definitely recommend it.
