The provisional suspension of Dimitrij Ovtcharov has been lifted.

Following hearings and further investigations into the matter, conducted by the NADA (German Anti-Doping Agency) and the DTTB, the latter has agreed to lift the suspension imposed on Ovtcharov, due to minute levels of the banned substance Clenbuterol being found in Ovtcharov's system during an out-of-competition drug test in August 2010.

"The ITTF respects the decision of the DTTB and the rules of NADA(German Anti-Doping Agency). They have gone through due process and held hearings according to the rules and found that the provisional suspension had to be lifted. The ITTF endorses this decision and will not appeal it." said Adham Sharara, ITTF President.

"We look forward to seeing Dima back in action on the table as soon as possible." said Sharara.
