Delivery and Installation: Do I Need to Order Both?

Home Delivery: When purchasing a major appliance at BestBuy.com, you can choose to have your appliance delivered for $70 (this is a per-trip charge and will be listed as the "Shipping Charge") by selecting "Delivery" and choosing a delivery date within the checkout process.

Home Delivery includes having the appliance unpacked (and packaging disposed of), placed in an accessible location and, depending on the type of appliance (see your appliance type below for determination), connection of the new appliance and recycling of the replaced appliance. Specialty Installation: For an additional fee, we can provide specialty installation and recycling for appliances not connected as part of delivery (see your appliance type below for determination). Our Specialty Installation service ensures you'll receive all of these benefits:

Performance: We ensure the maximum performance from your appliance by installing it right the first time.
Confidence: Our technicians are qualified and insured as required by applicable local regulations and have the tools needed to install your appliance according to all local codes and regulations.
Satisfaction: We guarantee our workmanship for a period of one year. If, during this time, you are not satisfied with any aspect of our workmanship, we will fix it free of charge.

Specific Installation Information by Appliance Type:

All-In-One Gas Laundry

Some markets require specialized installation for the gas line to be connected. Call Best Buy's 24/7 Appliance Help Line toll-free at 1-800-624-4434 for details.
Requires a gas hookup kit to be purchased from Best Buy. Best Buy-authorized third-party teams cannot reuse existing gas lines.
Requires an adequate 110V, 3-prong electrical outlet to plug the unit into and a vent exhausting directly through an outside wall (not through crawl spaces, attics, or windows).
Liquid propane conversion available as an extra service (at additional charge). The cost of this service includes all necessary parts.

Air Conditioners

Requires specialty installation for appliance to be installed.
There are different specialty installations for basic split air conditioners, full replacement split air conditioners, full new split air conditioners, window air conditioners greater than 12,000 BTUs and window air conditioners less than 12,000 BTUs.

Built-In Double Wall Ovens

Requires specialty installation for appliance to be installed.

Built-In Single Wall Ovens

Requires specialty installation for appliance to be installed.

Built-In Microwaves w/Trim Kit

Requires specialty installation for appliance to be installed.

Built-In Refrigerators

Requires specialty installation for appliance to be installed.

Cooktops

Requires specialty installation for appliance to be installed.
There are different specialty installations for cooktops with and without downdraft venting attached.

Dishwashers

Requires specialty installation for appliance to be installed.
Requires a dishwasher hookup kit to be purchased from Best Buy. Reusing existing hoses could result in water damage to your home.

Drop-In/Slide-In Ranges

Dryers (Electric)

Electric dryers are connected by home delivery.
Requires an adequate 240V electrical outlet to plug the dryer into and a vent exhausting directly through an outside wall (not through crawl spaces, attics, or windows).
Requires a dryer cord and venting kit to be purchased from Best Buy.

Dryers (Gas)

Microwaves (Over-the-Range)

Requires specialty installation for appliance to be installed.
There are different specialty installations for replacing an existing range hood vs. replacing an existing microwave. Replacing a range hood includes converting the wall wiring into an outlet, whereas existing microwaves generally already have an outlet.

Ranges (Electric)

Electric ranges are connected by home delivery, assuming there is an adequate 240V electrical outlet.
Requires a range cord to be purchased from Best Buy.
Our home delivery teams or installers are required to install an anti-tip bracket at no additional charge (refusal of anti-tip bracket installation results in a drop off only delivery, no connections will be completed).
"Hardwire" applications (wired directly to bare wires without an outlet) require hardwire specialty installation.

Requires a gas hookup kit to be purchased from Best Buy existing gas lines.

Range Hoods

Refrigerators/Ice Makers

Refrigerators are connected by home delivery assuming there is an adequate 110V, 3-prong electrical outlet.
If replacing a refrigerator that currently has an ice maker, the delivery team will also connect a new Best Buy purchased waterline and in-line filter, assuming there is an adequate/functioning shutoff valve within reach.
If an icemaker is purchased, it will arrive installed in the refrigerator.
Door reversal included if requested at time of purchase.
Purchasing "shutoff valve/waterline" specialty installation includes installing a shutoff valve and a water supply line (up to 20 ft.). Note: The waterline accessory (up to 20 ft) is included in the specialized Installation charge.

Trash Compactors

Requires specialty installation for appliance to be installed.

Under-Counter Ice Makers

Requires specialty installation for appliance to be installed.

Warming Drawers

Requires specialty installation for appliance to be installed.

Washing Machines (Clothes)

Washing machines are hooked up by home delivery, assuming there is an adequate 110V, 3-prong electrical outlet.
Requires new fill hoses and adequate shut off valves within reach (4 ft. for manufacturer-provided hoses and 6 ft. if purchasing Best Buy stainless-steel fill hoses).
Top-load washing machines from Whirlpool (except Cabrio) and GE (except Harmony) do not come with fill hoses. Fill hoses for these machines must be purchased separately.
Burst-resistant, stainless-steel hoses are recommended to be purchased for all washing machines.
