THUMBS UP!

Kudos to the Olweus committee for a tremendous kick-off to the anti-bullying crusade. The district-wide community event was well-received and the efforts of the faculty and administrative committee are to be commended.

Congratulations to last year's sixth grade class at Crafton Elementary and the entire fourth grade for scoring 100 percent proficient or advanced in math on the PSSA exam!  Quite an achievement! Kudos to teachers Tracy Alex, Andrea Mendolia and Clare Rex. Accolades are also extended to both elementary schools for meeting AYP, and in many cases, exceeding AYP proficiency levels.

The Carlynton School District, located just six miles southwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a small district uniting three proud communities with various ethnic, racial and socioeconomic populations.  Our schools offer small class sizes that allow for a personal approach to instruction.  We present a challenging curriculum to encourage all students to excel as independent thinkers and life-long learners, while offering each the support and motivation to do so with success.
The Carlynton School District welcomes inquiries from families considering relocation to our community. We invite you to explore our website for valuable information about our schools.
