Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has said it is finalising an Intelligent Transport System (ITS) master plan that covers all modes of transportation, Gulf Times has reported. "We are in the final stages of completing the ITS master plan and once it is approved there will be a five-year strategic plan for implementation," said Ashghal president Nasser Ali al-Mawlawi. "We are developing tailored solutions to meet the requirement of Qatar and learning from the experiences of others," he said while pointing out that ITS was a major part of the London Olympics as it would be for the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
