Melissa Turley

Melissa Turley is a student at George Washington University where she was features editor of The GW Hatchet, the student-run campus newspaper. Also an intern at the Department of State, Melissa is involved with projects focused on the expansion of women's rights and gender equality.

Melissa has worked for a D.C.-based documentary film group and as a production assistant for a local think tank. Her short film, “Microbreweries, Maximum Sustainability,” was accepted into the 2012 Environmental Film Festival in Washington, DC. Melissa first became interested in videography while producing a documentary film during her time studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Melissa was selected as the 2012 Pulitzer Center George Washington University student fellow, as part of the Pulitzer Center's Campus Consortium program.
