Lencie Fred started refereeing very young. One of his biggest honours was officiating the Olympic Games 1996 final as one of Pierluigi Collina´s assistants.
career
As a referee he has been active in the OFC Nations Cup, O-League, South Pacific Games (2007), the 2008 Olympic Tournament and World Cup qualifiers.
Fred started internationally as an assistant referee in 1996.
Decision
During that final in 1996, between Nigeria and Argentina, Fred and Collina validated a very controversial goal made by the Africans in the 93rd minute. The Argentinians claimed off-side.

Fred's last international match of note was an O-League qualifier in 2008. He retired internationally at the end of 2009.
