To be honest, I was quite nervous making my first ever top 50. Firstly the difficulty of combining the 2 charts I had and then actually finding enough songs good enough to fill the 50. The chart still seems a little rushed but hopefully things will settle in coming weeks.
Abandon rules again for the first week of 2012, sending out a strong message that the Christian side may dominate my personals for the 3rd year running. Feeding Line and Foster The People however are catching up and they complete the top 3.
Making a re-entry as well as gaining a new peak is Owl City's Galaxies, which now becomes his 4th top 10 song.
The highest debut comes from one of my most hated artists. Breathing has been a surprise grower over the past week and comes in at #28.
I'll be experimenting with different formats for the next few weeks.

Oh, you've even abandoned all the old peaks. Good to see all the songs I like at their peaks now then. This will be an interesting transition. Just checking out the recommendation now, when I read your description I wasn't sure how something could sound like both FOB and Muse, but I do see what you mean. The music contains elements of each band. I think I like it.
Great to see Clarko, Bruno, Perri and Panic! At The Disco appear. Great entry for P!nk and good to see Guy in the breakout, hopefully it can enter. Unless you mean breakout as in dropout. And I only like Rihanna of the worst list chart. Great chart anton!
A good chart, the first one I've seen for 2012. I'm going to assume a lot fo the artists I don't recognise are in the Christian field. I look forward to seeing how much the Christian genre inpacts your chart. Great to see One Direction maintain a spot in the Top 10.
I hate 3 out of your 5 hated songs. I can tolerate #2 and find #5 mindly amusing that someone would write a song about a cup.
I dislike this new format because Boy & Bear aren't #1 anymore! Also it's impossible to comment without a LW, so I'll assume the addition of all the songs means that everything is down, poo
Quite disappointed to do so but only after a year I've decided to ditch points, mainly because of the time-consuming factor. Going into Year 11 this year I expect to be very busy and I believe I won't have much time to keep it up. It's been really helpful in assisting me in compiling the End Of Year chart too so I'm quite disappointed already.
Anyways, the chart is still yet to settle with heaps of debuts and entries. 2011 Song of the Year, Feel It In Your Heart continues to dominate and the rest of the field is still struggling to find its feet. Call It What You Want also manages to overtake Feeding Line.

Perhaps not chartwise but in other aspects of my time away from study, I did have to cut down a bit when I hit Year 11. I'll promise to hear your number one eventually Cool to see Call It What You Want jump to second spot but ouch for Pumped Up Kicks.
I hate most of the songs in the Worst songs of the week chart. Also a cool debut for John Mayer in the other chart. And some cool jumps for Gotye, Foster The People and Owl City.
Good to see Feeding Line having a strong late run and A Thousand Years making a nice rise. Many of the high charters I don't know. I agree with most of your worst songs. Don't mind #2 and have managed to avoid #4 so far.
Great entries for Mraz and Murray. I am yet to hear that Snow Patrol song, I'll have to get on that soon. Nice jumps for Perri, Foster The People and Gotye.
Feeding Line lost the other #1 At least something good took it though. Good rises for Perri, Foster the People, Gotye, Foster the People (noooo, you almost had the right title last week ), Graffiti6 and Nine Sons of Dan. Good to see Hilltop Hoods debut too.
We have a new #1! Except it's sadly not a mainstream song Leeland grab their 2nd #1 with "I Wonder."
Feeding Line however stays in the top 3 and so re-claims the #1 mainstream song. Most of the top 10 remain stable.
Making great bullets in the lower end of the chart include Christina Perri, Don't Stop, I Love It, She's So Fine, New York and Jason Mraz. Train also debuts along with a late entry from Jessica Mauboy.

As most of you know, I like longevity and a slow, consistent and smooth chart but this week we have two major influences in the form of the JJJ Hot 100 Countdown as well as New Zealand both battling each other for some hold of the chart, with the result ending in a horrible mess.
I'm too disgusted to mention any more of it as there are some heavy droppers, huge bullets and poor Foster The People, whom I really wanted to give a rise ended up being sandwiched in the middle with very little movment.
At least Abandon are still #1 I guess.

I'm happy that Only To Be is the highest of the NZ songs on the chart this week. Also great to see the other two big moves into the top ten this week, and Kelly rounding out the top ten.

Wow. This is crazy. It's like it's someone else's chart.
But I gotta say, I approve of most of the movement. Awesome to see Gotye moving up quite well, hopefully the momentum can carry STIUTK into the top ten, but I won't hold my breath.
Great to see the debuts for unmentionable name, Florence, The Black Keys, Ed Sheeran and Matt Corby. Is the Ben Howard KYHU an Andy Grammer cover?
Yay the chart is a lot more settled this week, but Abandon is STILL #1. The curtains may be over for Feeding Line, as it relinquishes the #1 mainstream spot to Coldplay. They move up to #2 with Charlie Brown. New Zealand powerhouses Six60 and The Babysitters Circus continue to upward rise into the top 5.

(Clinton likes this, so it has to be somewhat decent )
I don't know the Six60 song, and I can't stand Olly Murs. In other news, nice to see Abandon doing so well and cool rise for Hilltop Hoods. Shame that Black Keys are falling away a bit, in fact, a lot of my favourites fall.
Could it finally be? Did it even seem possible? YES! We have a Mainstream at #1! Except it happens to be a song that very little people know
Six60 continue their momentum and topple Abandon at the top spot, creating the first mainstream #1 of the year. "Only To Be" managed to rack up an impressive 21 plays this week and has already overtaken Abandon for the most plays of the month.
Just when Feeding Line has begun to fall, another track from Boy & Bear has debuted to extend their top 5 run. Part Time Believer appears sat #4.
All the bullets this week got to Ed Sheeran and Olly Murs. Olly scores another top 10 hit with Heart Skips A Beat and You Need Me, I Don't Need You and Drunk both hit the top 20.

-Recommendation of the week: (New Zealand Song #3) Only To Be - Six60 http://six60.bandcamp.com/track/only-to-be My now current #1 also is the Rec of the week. This 'soul-rock-reggae-dubstep' Kiwi band continues their trend of releasing music that is completely opposite to what they say they are with this nice acoustic track. I can't really think of an artist that sounds like this, except Pete Murray keeps coming to mind.

Awesome debut for Part Time Believer, that's the best from their album for me. I also don't mind We Are Young, but Cigarettes is just a lame Lighters wannabe in my mind. Nice jumps for Olly Murs, Ed Sheeran and Foster The People. I'll certainly have to check out your #1.
You weren't kidding about the movement belonging to Ed & Olly! I'm happy to see Olly (HSAB) and Ed (YNMIDNY) up, Avicii holding, but most of my faves drop a bit this week. Hopefully One Direction and Drake can hit the chart in the coming weeks. The best chart is your worst songs, though I don't hate Ass Back Home yet, I do think it has a ridiculous title.
Yay for the debuts, even if Cigarettes is ridiculously old But Part Time Believer & We Are Young are very cool. Nice bullet for Foster the People and I hope Hilltop Hoods can chart.
Abandon or Six60? Six60 or Abandon? That was very far from what happened this week as Boy & Bear was sitting very comfortably for the 1st half, before One Direction springs in with a typical Born This Way/Good Night etc. moment and spoils the party. Luckily for Boy & Bear though, they've still kept their #1 spot, making this their first overall #1 and second Mainstream #1.
The top 5 is almost indestructible at the moment, even though Charlie Brown seems weakening, it is actually getting stronger. It is disappointing to see it have difficult competition against such stronger songs.
Not much else to say, except the UK are certainly getting their fair share of attention with Olly Murs and Ed Sheeran continuing their rises as well as One Direction and Coldplay rebounding.

Nice number one, a slight improvement on Six60. I can't stand anything by One Direction, so go Boy & Bear! Cool rises for Foster The People, Matt Corby and both Ed Sheerans.
I don't mind YW&F; but it isn't great, but the rest of the Worst tracks all suck.
Awesome to see Part Time Believer take the top spot, and hold off the latecomer. Even if it's only on top for one week, it's good. Nice entry for One Direction though, and also nice to see Whitney and Ed dominating the other chart. Good jumps for Olly, Ed, Coldplay and Matt Corby.
Great that Boy & Bear are properly #1 this time! I don't like commenting on rises that don't get new peaks, which seems to be the case for much of it this week Good to see Matt Corby up. I can't remember the last time your Worst chart was so woeful.

Never have I been so embarrased to post my chart this week. Looking at the chart, it isn't hard to see why, but the #1 artist has completely smashed the whole competition, somehow continuing its momentum from last week (when I expected to get sick of it by now) and taking it into the top spot with a huge lead.
There's nothing much to say, except that surprisingly the whole top 10 is 70% UK, which is probably the first time it has ever been this high.
We see a couple of Christian debuts lower down too, can they recover from their poor start to the year? (With the exception of Feel It In Your Heart.)

You shouldn't be embarrassed about your #1, One Direction make decent pop music. One Thing is good, though I do prefer Part Time Believer. Gotta Be You was meh though. If you're going to be embarrassed about anything on your chart, it should be that you put Count On Me and Wild Ones on the wrong lists!
I really like One Thing. It's my favourite from them so far! I don't mind Gotta Be You, but much prefer their other tracks. Great rise for Drunk, Lego House and What Makes You Beautiful and good to see Count On Me debut.
Great to see One Direction hit the top spot. I really like that songs, probably more than I think I should haha. Nice rises for Ed (x2), Fun & Matt Corby. Shame to see Florence falling so fast. Pretty good chart overall, though.
Nice to see Bruno, Drake and 1D debuting, and also nice to see them back in the top 10 and up to #1. Is this the same Anton I knew a few months ago? ;P
Do I have One Direction Infection? I would like to think not, but their domination of my personal continues. The reason why I'm embarrased is that I've been bagged out for liking them by my friends so much, it's almost getting ridiculous. (I bag them out for liking other music, so it's karma I guess.)
The chart is rather ugly this week, with two Christian debuts in the top 4 and Outasight comes in outside the top 10. What Makes You Beautiful and Brother still manages to rise though.

Shame to see Coldplay, Six60 and Boy & Bear fall but nice rise for Fun. Sad to see The Black Keys leave among others.
Um, I dunno, aside from getting rid of the 'New Peak' notes and such in the YT column, I'm not sure. Maybe shorten the final two columns to 'YT' and 'Main'?
Switch the song and artist columns! If it stops you from ever swapping them by accident then it's all for the best! Also I think it looks better Oh and use 'NE' instead of 'NEW'

Do you even need the YT plays and Mainstream columns? They could go, and that would help with neatness. Aside from that, I don't think it needs much else. The song and artist columns are correctly placed IMO. Oh, but NE > NEW.

Ew One Direction at number one are you insane oh wait One direction is No.36 on my chart so I guess I am also insane. Good to see Feeding Line inside your top 20 the only reason I got into this song is because of the Triple J countdown and so far is their only charting single I should really listen to their other songs like Part time believer which I just realised is high up on everyones chart it could be my next number one and I don't know it because I never heard of the song. When I said I would start a top 'overall' 50, I pointed out that my charts would very much become like 392's. It has almost been the case many times this year, with sometimes truckloads of debuts and re-entries and huge drops and rises, but hopefully things will settle. Sadly, it's not the case this week, as this is now the 5th week in a row, where a song has debuted in the top 5. Avicii scores his 1st ever top 3 hit.

A rather WTF chart for me this week! :p Fade Into Darkness is like a million times better than the Good Feeling/Bounce wannabe song, but I'm still not a fan. Michel Telo, lol, I need to hear that again. I randomly listened to it because it was listed as the "most popular" song on a lyrics site I looked at, ahead of the three big Adele singles and STIUTK, and when I checked the lyrics, they amused me. But I think I did like it. But seriously, now you're charting the wildly overrated Faces? Come on, it's from 2010! Surely it belongs on the "other" chart? It's probably as old as Plans and Miami 2 Ibiza at least. :p Great to see John Mayer debut though, loving that song. Hope Carly Rae can get in next week. Ahhh One Direction at #1 again hopefully something that is not One Direction is your next number one. Meanwhile on my chart One direction drops out of my top 50 with that song what is it called again oh yeah it is One thing. Things have finally settled this week, except this time everything is exceptionally weak because I've been going on '80s music streaks. I have not spent much time with the songs I'm charting at the moment.
Avicii however has a clear lead this week and he becomes the first Swedish act since ABBA to reach the top 10. In other international news, Michel Telo becomes the first Portugese act in my top 10!
A good spread of debuts appear lower down however, although the most notable one is Call Me Maybe which is ast #17.

Some of the debuts have odd names, but I am happy to see Next To Me in there. Yay for Fade Into Darkness even if it's not as good as Levels, it's better than Seek Bromance though! Great rise for Matt Corby too.

Hooray for Avicii! I am glad that it hit number one for you, after peaking at number two for me. Still a great top two, plus nice rises for Matt Corby, Fun, Ed Sheeran and Drake. Solid debuts for Carly Rae Jepsen and Emeli Sande. Hopefully the latter can rise quickly!

Oh, I missed last week's chart. Trying to do all my comments in one go weekly means consistent timing is necessary or I'm gonna miss things. I'll need to work on that. Oh well, going back in time, I didn't like Avicii being #1, but it was good to see that people recognise how I'm always right and that you ditched Faces!
Great to see The Afters knock Avicii off top, I'll have to give it a listen at some point I suppose. Nice jumps for Matt Corby and Carly Rae into the top ten. I do agree that Bukkie is different to Faces. It's superior for a start, but it's also relevant. It IS a 2012 peaker after all.
A song I don't know at #1? Raaaaaaaaage! Nice to see Matt Corby & Emeli Sande bulleting though. Yay for Faces 'rising' I guess. It's moving up at a similar rate that Owl City is dropping, ko-in-sa-dins?

I don't like Avicii. I don't know what it is but I just don't. However I like that Carly Rae, Matt Corby and Outasight are represented well. There are a lot of songs I don't know though
This week has been very up and down emotionally for this week, and this obviously affects which music I listen to. But strangely enough, despite the week I've had, the happier Avicii comes back on top and returns to #1.
There is ANOTHER high debut this week, this time, the song is by a very familiar artist now. Ed Sheeran comes in at #4 with his recently announced 5th single off +, Small Bump.
Mat Kearney receives his 3rd top 10 entry, with "Ships In The Night" bulleting up 13 places. We may have a change in the top 10 next week with many songs now knocking at its door, trying to get in.

I LOVE SMALL BUMP!!!! So happy to see that One Thing and Part Time Believer both got #1. I love both those songs! Awesome new peak for Lego House, and the rise for Next To Me.
It's nice to see Avicii back at #1, I know AND like that song. However I don't know, and therefore don't like the Ed Sheeran song, although it's had some mad hyping here so maybe I'll like it. Very cool re-entry for Houdini, but you should probably just let PUK drop out
Faces rises into the top 10! And based on this chart your voting lines up nothing like mine, but oh well! I haven't heard the Rihanna only version of Birthday Cake, but I don't think I have to. Chart Need Your Love
Stupid Avicii back on top grrrr, The Afters should have had it, but really Small Bump should have debuted there. I think it's slightly too late for me to debut Small Bump and be charting five Ed songs at once, so I might wait a little before charting it myself, but I hope it's your #1 next week. Even though it's heartbreaking, it's also amazing. Nice to see Carly Rae in the top five (with a peak of seven ) and Bukkie holding on. You should at least keep it in longer than me since you presumably love it more.
A rather uneventful week for my personals, which is sort the weeks I enjoy having Only one debut this time, but the Easter impact has caused most of the Christian songs to rise. Probably the most notable effects are The Afters therefore going back to #1 and Mat Kearney entering the top 5 for the first time in 5 years.

Most of the songs at the top are unfamiliar to me, but nice to see Ed Sheeran and Coldplay up. Love the run for Houdini too! What's with the weird tennis songs though?
I assume LP are there because of Artist Showdown, and Beethoven is there because of the Beethoven Game concluding
Come on Temper Trap, even if it isn't Rumine. Also, Gym Class Heroes are a worthy #1 of the worst songs.

I tend to enjoy my music in 'phases.' The start of the year was my Boy & Bear phase, then there was a brief phase of variety before liking the music I heard in New Zealand. then followed Olly Murs and One Direction. After a quick era with Avicii, I've now moved onto another boyband. Anthem Lights become the 2nd boyband to have a #1 and they're also the 2nd artist this year, and the 2nd boyband ever to simulataneously hold the top 2, as their 2nd single "Can't Get Over You" debuts at #2, while their latter 3rd single "Outta My Mind" bullets up to #1.

I'm still waiting for the Boy & Bear phase to overtake the Boy & Band phase again Nice to see John Mayer rise, but I thought you said you'd debut The Temper Trap this week, and you've still got Pumped Up Kicks! I'm sad that you no longer have any Owls in your top 50, particularly since I apparently liked that Owl City song
3 top 10 debuts are always difficult to manage, but somehow the chart wasn't too rattled this week, with Linkin Park storming in at #2. Time will tell if they can mantain their having at least one song reach #1 each year streak.
An album review of Anthem Lights however, keep them sitting fairly comfortably at #1, #3 and a debut at #6. Also crashing the party is the return of Delta, who comes in the top 5.
My elimination in the Artist Showdown, has proved to be more beneficial than most people think, as I can now freely scrobble them without having to hide that I have them. Crowded House absolutely smashes the oldies chart this week.

I am unfamiliar with Anthem Lights, but they sure have had an impact on you! Great to see Delta debuting strongly, plus rises for Outasight, Olly Murs, Boy & Bear and Avicii. Couldn't agree more with Reece Mastin appearing in the worst songs of the week chart!
Feeding Line rises And you finally let The Temper Trap chart! On the other hand, I don't recall a time when your chart was so TRASH!y Have you considered starting a Crowded House chart?
Hopefully Linkin Park can take number one, that'd be awesome. I can tolerate Tonight Is The Night a little more now, so I don't mind seeing that back in the top 20. Glad that Michel Telo has kinda flopped, hope he falls out soon. Elsewhere, wow for Gotye's longevity despite only peaking at 13, and cool to see Feeding Line not finished with just yet.
Nice debut for Delta Goodrem. Also good to see Need Your Love in the mix. Woo for Hot Problems taking #1 on most awful, lol it is so bad. I hate your top four in that list passionately, so good to see them all there
My chart suffers through another batch of high debuts, as Jason Gray and Tenth Avenue North return to form with their follow up single and lead single off new album respectively. New Empire however debuts lower than expected, but still in the top 20.
Irelander commented last week how he was glad to see Michel Telo flopping, which isn't exactly the case. Ever since starting the top 50, the competition for the coveted top places have become ever so strained, and much to my dismay, very high-placing worth songs are just being pushed lower and lower, which is exactly the case for Telo and pretty much every other song in the bottom 25 of the top 50. If Ai Se Eu Te Pego charted last year, or two years ago, it would be consistently in the top 10. Maybe this is saying that music for me is very strong at the moment.
Also to note that earlier in the year, the Mainstream side was dominating, but now the trend has completely reversed, with only 1 Mainstream track (Linkin Park) in the top 10.

Yay for the New Empire debut, I'm now hoping they can chart on ARIA, their FB feed might explode at the very thought of it! Nice mini-rebounds for Boy & Bear too. I am thinking that Whistle may be a worse #1 single than Rear End Back Home.
I'm jus sayin is all, Michel Telo's run looks floppy Yeah for New Empire, need to hear it in full though so I'm not completely convinced Nice to see Boy & Bear up too, naww for Ed falling. Whistle sucks.

I only know one track in your top ten as well, which is a bit slack on my behalf. I try to get through as many as I can, at the very least I will give your number one a listen for next week Awesome to see James Morrison & Florence debut, plus rises for New Empire and The Temper Trap. Shame to see Fade Into Darkness... err... fade into darkness quite quickly, but I am just glad that it hit the top spot
I didn't think that the number of songs that people didn't know would cause so much discussion, but that was one of the consequences of including the Christian Chart.
The all Christian battle continues, and we may begin to see a rivalry between Anthem Lights, Jason Gray and Tenth Avenue North for the coming month, as Jason Gray now takes the lead and grabs the #1 spot, his 2nd to date. 2nd Anthem Lights Single "I Wanna Know You Like That" enters the fray but it has not overtaken 4th single "Outta My Mind" yet. Tenth Avenue North takes the bullet this week and falls to #4.
This week also sees some more familiar songs enter the top 10. Solid performances by James Morrison and New Empire maintains their current form and "One Heart/Million Voices" becomes New Empire's 4th consecutive top 10 song.
Although deadmau5 won Best Dance Track last year, he has never charted before, and "The Veldt" (it's still confusing to spell) becomes his first entry, and also his first top 10 track. Bluejuice also returns with their 3rd hit, "On My Own."

Nice to see New Empire & James Morrison bullet into the top 10 (although they don't particularly look like the 'bullets' they're claimed to be ). Also the Temper Trap move and Bluejuice debut are good. It seems weird that I Can Only Imagine is a bubbler for you, I thought you said music was going good atm?
It's a very static chart this week, not that I'm complaining, and Jason Gray holds his #1 spot, this time shooting very far ahead of the competition, so his hold was a comfortable one this week. Boy & Bear makes the only real impact by debuting at #20 with their 4th (5th?) and final single from the album Moonfire.

Nice rises for James Morrison, Boy & Bear, Matt Corby and Ed Sheeran. I am surprised that New Empire has come to a halt on your chart as I wias expecting it to do bigger things. I'm still not ruling it out
I swear I'll get around to hearing your number one at some point. Linkin Park rising a little bit is good, that goes for James Morrison, Gotye and Ed too.
Sorry for the late chart, school work and such. The worst is hopefully over for the semester now!
Jason Gray is still very dominant and deadmau5 now has his first top 5 song and deamdau5 gets his first ever Mainstream #1 and top 5 hit.
For those that don't know, I got Spotify this week, this will be very interesting to see this affects the chart. When the radio was my primary source of music, the charts were pretty much like the US Charts. When I later switched to Youtube, the charts suffered tremendous inconsistency with some weeks like the UK and others like last week.

Great to see James Morrison steady in the top three, plus rises for One Direction (x2) and Ed Sheeran. Solid debut for Loreen. Hoping she can improve on this position in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, I like more songs in the worst list than I dislike, and I don't hate any of them - awkward.
Jason Gray is finally dethroned, but not by Adam Cappa, James Morrison or deadmau5. Matt Redman, just when I thought he was long and gone after Twenty Seven Million returns and debuts at #1. Adam Cappa also scores the biggest jump ever in the history of my charts as he goes from 45-4, completely shaking up the chart with "The Rescue."
No other spectacular news to note, except Jimmy Needham successfully scores another entry with his follow up to "If I Ever Needed Grace" and Kris Allen has his first mainstream #1 ever!

All my faves fall except Gotye but that's just ridiculous Yaya for Boy & Bear on the other chart, apparently they were #1 last week, and there are two #9's this week, you should sort your charts by TW though
A good chart this week (also the last chance for songs to make an impact on the Mid-Year list) which keeps the same top 5. Jimmy Needham however scores his 2nd top 10 entry, bulleting up to #9. Demi Lovato debuts with her track "Give Your Heart A Break" (keep note that I only like the song due to a cover by Anthem Lights) and Mandisa arrives with her 2nd chart entry. She made the top 10 last year with "Stronger."

Great that Kris Allen is holding strong in the Top 5. Great to see Linkin park move up, wonderful to see Loreen still hanging around. Shame to see Delta leave.
While I clearly don't like it as much as you, I did enjoy The Veldt so I'm happy to see it up and giving me something to comment on. Ed Sheeran too. Eyes Wide Open dropping out before STIUTK is treachery!
Easily the closest week we've ever seen with even Demi Lovato, who is only at #10 this week was very close to being #1. Jason Gray however snatches the top spot again to solidfy himself as the current #1 of the year.
Not only are there two bullets into the top 10, four debuts in the top 25 cause lots of falls and some much needed movement and cleaning out in the chart today. Django Django score the highest debut at #9. Flight Facilities and KJ-52 also make their chart debuts. Fun. finally make their 2nd chart entry with Some Nights and what is seen to be a likely upset, Johnny Ruffo comes in at #50, while Gotye finally falls out with "Somebody That I Used To Know."

-Other: It may not seem so on the main chart, but Anthem Lights is easily the #1 artist of the year, and this is because they continue to dominate the "Other" chart with album tracks and covers that give them lots of exposure.
Eww... what is Johnny Ruffo doing scraping in there? Hopefully Karmin and/or Marina and the Diamonds can knock him out lol. Fun's debut and Loreen's rise also pleases me, as it does bsb. It makes me laugh that nothing can even compare to the terribleness (in your eyes) that is Flo Rida to join him in the worst chart this week
Very nice to see Demi make the top ten. While I don't love that track, I like that she's getting attention with her underrated album! Nice to see Wide Awake still at it's peak but I'm sure you feel like giving her another top ten hit ... eh .... Nice debut for Some Nights and wow 45 weeks for PUK, can it make 52?
Brilliant Worst chart, in the best/worst possible way! And yay for songs I know! Particularly Fun. & Django Django, but I feel as though I should properly listen to Flight Facilities too. Sad that the Boy & Bear phase is wearing off once again though Did I mention you should totally listen to Myth? It's calm and lovely and such
It is a HUGE Win for Mainstream songs this week! Firstly, we have a new #1 in the form of Django Django. Default becomes irelander's first recommendation to reach #1. Default was a little lucky to get the top spot though, as Hillsong chose the wrong song to be their lead single off Cornerstone (they had 3 choices and they chose the weakest one If the other two were picked, they would have debuted straight at #1).
It doesn't end there though, Some Nights bullets straight into the top 5, becoming Fun.'s first top 10 hit. Matchbox 20 and Johnny Ruffo also make huge gains. Further debuts by Owl City, Karmin and probably the biggest shock of the week, Wynter Gordon come in at various places.
Come on Fun! Awesome jump. Nice to see Matchbox Twenty rising, not so much for Johnny Ruffo, and some solid debuts for Karmin & Owl City. I'm going to need to give Wynter Gordon a listen as it seems to be gaining some traction around here.
You've had some fine #1s this year, but wow, this is by far the best! So glad that you've gotten into Default and amazed/surprised/delighted at it jumping to #1. I should hear that Flight Facilities song at some point. Wynter's okay, Karmin annoy me, but Good Time is alright. None of that matters, DEFAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Django Django hold at the top again, and there's very little of interest this week, except Brandon Heath debuts straight into the top 10 with the lead single from his new album and Hillsong enter the top 10. Karmin also makes a wonderful bullet into the top 30.
Ooh, Fun seem to have lost a bit of the momentum, but I am still hoping for them to be the next number one! Great to see Owl City / Carly Rae, Matchbox Twenty & Karmin rising. Shame to see Wynter falling as I finally got around to giving it a listen and quite enjoyed it. I'd love to see both of the breakout tracks debut next week

Irelander unfortunately spoke too soon, as Default only just barely held the top spot last week, it falls this week due to strong competition. Ironically, the 3 #1s this month (Good To Be Alive, Default and now I Will Find You) are all tied at 52 plays for the whole month. I'm very looking forward to who will win in the End of Year.
My love/hate relationship with The Wanted ended with some love for them, as they surprisingly debut straight into the top 25. Switchfoot and Building 429 also make good debuts.

Another week brings another change of the guard. Fun becomes the 2nd ARIA #1 this year to become #1 here as well! Some Nights also smashes the previous peak of We Are Young (#15).
Nothing else happens, and the songs that charted during the "Good To Be Alive" era is continuing to assert it's potential dominance on the end of year chart by all holding in the top 20 again.

I am going overseas in less than 9 days so I will post another chart on Sunday and Thursday/Friday to make up for the 2 weeks I will be away. The chart today is for this week's chart, normally posted on Saturday.
Overall, music is very stale and weak, as I turn my attention to the Olympics and an upcoming Piano exam that I have a few weeks after I return overseas. Strangely enough the #1 was very difficult to pick as I felt none of the songs really deserved to be there this week.

Great to see someone else still charting Loreen's Euphora. Great to see Mumford in the chart and hpefull they can regain some ground and this isn't a sign of things to come with their backward movement.
Also happy to see Kris Allen still in your Top 20.
In one of the messiest weeks of the year, we have a completely new top 4! 3 new songs debut there with another bulleting in from outside the top 10. It makes sense with the charts being so stale lately. The battle for which song would actually be #1 was very tough though, with Evermore just getting the edge over 360.

Only doing this for personal enjoyment, I'm just going to keep a daily chart this week because competition for #1 is heating up! There are 7 songs vying for the top spot at the moment. They are: Evermore, 360, Lifehouse, Olly Murs, OneRepublic, Calvin/Example and One Direction! May the best song win next week. Avicii is only just behind too.

Yay for Of Monsters and Men. Can I remind you to make them rise, does that work? I'm not quite sure who this Avicii character is that appeared out of nowhere but I suppose the song about Silhouettes is cool.
Excellent rise for Lifehouse/Natasha Bedingfield and cool to see Of MOnsters and Men and Pink debut. FEM definitely belong in the worst list, they are awful. Absolutely awful!
Calvample simply does the unthinkable this week, by becoming the first song ever to leap from #50...to the #1 spot! This is an excellent effort for both, as this is only Calvin's 3rd charting song and Example's second. Harris's previous best peak was #23 with "Feel So Close" and Example made #22 with "Changed The Way You Kissed Me."
It's the closest top 10 I've had in a very very long time with this week having Calvample and One Direction just edging the rest. 360 and Olly Murs held up better while Evermore lost steam and falling to #5. Avicii, Cro and Abandon all fought for higher spots and managed to overtake Lifehouse and OneRepublic, who are still genuine contenders for next week's #1 despite being at #9 and #10.
