As Montanans Begin Voting, Rehberg Embarks On Statewide Jobs Tour

As Montana voters receive their absentee ballots this week, Denny Rehberg is launching a six-day, cross-state "Liberate Main Street" jobs tour, taking his pro-jobs message to twenty towns across Montana, and highlighting the contrast between his vision for a more prosperous economy, versus the failed, tax-and-spend policies of President Barack Obama and liberal, anti-coal Senator Jon Tester.

The Billings Gazette reports:

Rehberg boarded a campaign bus Tuesday morning in his home town of Billings, heading out on a six-day, cross-state tour that will hit 19 cities, beginning in Miles City and Glendive. He dubbed the event the “liberate Main Street” tour, saying government needs to get out of the way and let business flourish. “We wanted to have a bus tour to go out and talk about the two paths that the country can take... We have Sen. Tester, who believes that government is the solution. …” he said. “Or a different path, that believes government is part of the problem. … I’m going to ask Montanans to join me on the path to less government.”

Rehberg Highlights Two Distinct Paths For Voters In Second Debate With Liberal Tester

Denny Rehberg drew a clear contrast between himself and liberal, anti-coal Senator Jon Tester in the second debate of Montana's 2012 U.S. Senate race, held in Billings on the campus of Montana State University - Billings.

"Denny showed Montanans a very clear contrast in this debate, between his independent record of standing up to the leaders of both parties to do what's right for Montana, versus liberal Senator Tester's record of 95 percent support for President Obama's job-killing agenda," said Rehberg campaign manager Erik Iverson. "While Senator Tester resorted to petty, dishonest personal attacks to try and mislead voters and distract from his record of killing jobs and harming Montana, Denny clearly laid out the two paths voters can take in this pivotal election, stuck to the issues that matter, and showed exactly why he leads in the polls and holds the momentum heading into these final weeks of the campaign."

Rehberg Raises $2.4 Million, Has $1.7 Million On Hand

As polls continue to show him leading liberal, anti-coal Senator Jon Tester with just 29 days remaining in Montana's U.S. Senate race, Denny Rehberg out-raised Tester in the third quarter of 2012, bringing in $2.4 million and retaining $1.7 million cash-on-hand.

"Denny Rehberg leads in the polls and holds the momentum going into the final weeks of this campaign, because Denny stands with Montana on the issues that matter most for our families and job creators," Rehberg campaign manager Erik Iverson said today. "While Tester and his liberal, out-of-state allies resort to petty, personal attacks to try and distract voters from his record of 95 percent support for President Obama's job-killing policies, our strong fundraising will ensure that we're able to reach Montana voters with Denny's message of creating jobs, getting our economy back on track, and reining in the over-taxing, over-spending and over-regulation we've seen under Obama and Tester."

Yet another report highlights Tester’s special-interest hypocrisy

With less than five weeks until Election Day, yet another investigative report is drawing attention to Senator Tester's special-interest hypocrisy, "bankrolling his reelection campaign with huge contributions from the bankers, lobbyists, and insiders he blasted during his first Senate run in 2006." Of course, this is just the latest in a long string of headlines Tester has made for doing the bidding of special-interest lobbyists, then bankrolling his campaign with their cash...

New Ads Hold Tester Accountable For Siding With Obama EPA Over Montana Coal Jobs

As energy provider PPL Montana announces its decision to "mothball" the J.E. Corette power plant in Billings due to onerous EPA regulations, Montanans for Rehberg is launching a new, statewide advertising campaign reminding voters of liberal Senator Jon Tester's harmful, anti-coal record.

The Rehberg campaign's new television ad, "Actions," and radio ad, "Talk," remind voters not only of Tester's vote in favor of the Obama EPA regulations cited by PPL Montana for "mothballing" the Corette plant, but of Tester's long record of siding with liberal party leaders and his radical environmentalist supporters over Montana jobs.
