Air Force Global Strike Command’s mission is nuclear and conventional global strike, a key component of strategic deterrence. AFGSC aligns Intercontinental Ballistic Missile and dual-mission capable bomber forces under a single command, responsible for organizing, training and equipping ICBM forces, B-2 and B-52 bomber forces, and other deterrence capabilities to conduct operations in support of combatant commanders.
