Not Guilty As Charged - Ethan returns to Phoenix in cuffs. Dan reconnects with a former flame. Baz makes inroads to Laurel's heart. Sutton and Rebeccannie expertly manipulate the events so that Ethan walks free but Emma is left brokenhearted.

Fraternal Twins

No Country for Young Love - Mads joins the Scooby Gang and works her feminine wiles in the search for Derek's killer. (Hint: All roads lead to Alec.) Rebeccannie offers to boost a newly single Laurel's music career, which leads to tension with Ted, which leads to tension with Kristin. Ethan is also feeling tension with Sutton -- mainly the sexual kind, but she's perfectly willing to, uh, relieve that.

Tour de Horse

Reservation for Two - Ethan and Emma take refuge at his father's house, where more of Ethan's miserable upbringing is spelled out. Justin and Laurel begin to drift apart while Alec and Rebeccannie come together. Ahem.

Killer, Heels

Dead Man Talking - The teen detectives get their first break in the case: Derek is the snake! Less than 24 hours later, everything blows up in their faces when Derek turns up dead.

Sparkle Band-Aid Chic

Black and White and Green All Over - Still rockin' her gaping head wound, Sutton suits up for the Black and White Ball at the country club. On her dance card? Destroying the lives of everyone around her by kicking them to the curb (Emma), exposing their secrets (Laurel and Justin), or just generally being a hag (everyone else). Annie Hobbs reappears and confirms she "Not the mama," but she does have an as-yet-unclear relationship with Rebeccannie, who is still tangoing with Alec -- only now with more potential sexual intrigue.

Frenemies with Benefits

Pleased to Meet Me - Sutton's return brings with it zero answers to the millions of lingering questions. Conveniently for Rebeccannie, Laurel is suddenly a violinist-slash-singer.

Night of the Living Dead

When We Dead Awaken - Another highly eventful episode in which much happens, none of it explained. Rebecannie commits Phyllis. Justin breaks up with Laurel. Alec and Dan have a heated exchange. Emma sees a glimpse of a brighter future, only to learn Sutton may be dead. But, oh wait.

The Lake Effect

O Twin, Where Art Thou? - Sutton has gone missing. Emma and Ethan make up the most implausible lie ever to keep that secret going. Only Thayer votes to tell the truth but is compromised by his blatant vendetta against Ethan. And Cordelia Chase a.k.a. Charisma Carpenter a.k.a. Rebecca (née Annie) Sewell, the twins' heretofore presumptive birth mother who is totally not the same Annie from the loony bin, returns to Phoenix with questionable motives.
