Arshad Mehmood

Arshad Mehmood is a prominent Pakistani actor and music composer. He is best recognized for his acting roles in famous Pakistani TV drama serials like Aangan Terha and Dhoop Kinare and the music composition of a lot of admired Ghazals from the poetry of Faiz Ahmed Faiz and others. He also played an inferior but significant role of “Baba” (Dr Ahmer's foster father) in the drama serial Dhoop Kinare which was really admired by the viewers. Other acting performance includes Ankahi. He also took part an important role and music composition in Program SUCH GUP (70s). Arshad Mehmood has also composed music for many Milli naghmas (National songs) including “Watan ki mitti gwah rehna” and more. He acted in Khamosh Pani in 2003, a movie set in Pakistan of 1970s. He is a faculty member at National Academy of Performing Arts, Karachi, Pakistan. He also participated in a very renowned comedy skit play called 50 50 with other comedians.
