David Mitchell vs. Hyun Gyu Lim completes UFC on FUEL TV 6 lineup in Macau

A welterweight bout between David Mitchell (11-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) and Hyun Gyu Lim (10-3-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is the final addition to next month's UFC on FUEL TV 6 event in Macau.

Mitchell recently replaced injured Marcelo Guimaraes (8-0-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC).

With the addition of the event-opening bout, UFC on FUEL TV 6 now features 10 total fights, including a Rich Franklin vs. Cung Le middleweight headliner.

UFC on FUEL TV 6 takes place Nov. 10 at CotaiArena in Venetian Macau Resort Hotel. The event's main card airs live on FUEL TV following prelims on Facebook.

Due to the time difference with China, the event's prelims actually begin at 7 a.m. ET (4 a.m. PT) in the U.S., and the main card kicks off at 9 a.m. ET.

Mitchell likely is getting a final shot at a first UFC win. After opening his career with a perfect 11-0 mark, the former Tachi Palace Fights champ signed with the UFC and has since suffered back-to-back losses to T.J. Waldburger and Paulo Thiago, though hist most recent appearance came back in August 2011.

Lim, meanwhile, has posted five consecutive wins (all via first-round stoppage) while competing in Guam, which followed some M-1 appearances. The South Korean makes his UFC debut after posting nine stoppages in 10 career wins.

The full UFC on FUEL TV 6 lineup includes:

MAIN CARD (FUEL TV, 9 a.m. ET)
  • Rich Franklin vs. Cung Le
  • Stanislav Nedkov vs. Thiago Silva
  • Dong Hyum Kim vs. Paulo Thiago
  • Mac Danzig vs. Takanori Gomi
  • Alex Caceres vs. Kyung Ho Kang
  • Jon Tuck vs. Tiequan Zhang
PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook, 7 a.m. ET)
  • John Lineker vs. Yasuhiro Urushitani
  • Tom DeBlass vs. Riki Fukuda
  • Jeff Hougland vs. Takeya Mizugaki
  • David Mitchell vs. Hyun Gyu Lim

yea big J.N. fan too. at 36 and lack of activity, i wonder how much longer his career will be.  the guy wins though.

I think he's the current Legacy FC lightweight champ. He last fought earlier this year so he isn't exactly "inactive". At 37, the UFC probably isn't in a hurry to sign him even for shows in Asia. It's too bad though because he fights primarily in Macau and Hong Kong now.

yea im aware of his activity between Sengoku and Legend FC. yea i agree with what u say about his age and his chances of being signed. it is too bad b/c otherwise he would be a great addition to the roster.
