Kip Moore pays off Conan, Craig Morgan makes 'explosive' acting debut

Two Nashville-area artists are taking the show to the small screen tonight - and taking themselves to two very different sorts of shows.

Singer/songwriter Kip Moore (whose No. 1 "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck" recently wheeled its way to park in the Platinum singles chart spot) will get to show off how his hard work has paid off - literally - when he takes to the stage of TBS's Conan to perform his new single "Beer Money" tonight (7/17).

Kip quips: “Conan is so special for me because when my sister was in a car accident and in the hospital for seven months, Conan was one of the few people who could make her smile. She thinks he is so funny and so do I. I have always been such a fan of the show and him as a person. It’s definitely amazing to get to play on national TV with that many people watching, and I am so glad that this is the first late-night show I am playing.”

“I can’t wrap my head around platinum,” he says. “I had a hard enough time wrapping my head around gold, so there’s no way I can wrap my head around platinum. It’s something that every writer and artist dreams to be a part of, something that is working like this."

And as if that's not enough, "Corn Star" Craig Morgan (who himself recently appeared, quite giddily, on Conan,) returns a favor to actress Angie Harmon (who co-starred in his "This Ole Boy" video alongside a very well-fed dog) by making a scripted acting debut tonight on Rizzoli and Isles, the TNT show Harmon co-stars in. The boy plays a medical examiner who helps the two stars solve a murder case.

Rizzoli and Isles airs at 8 pm central time on TNT and reruns at 10 pm, then on Saturday morning at 8:15 and again next Tuesday (7/24) as well. For more info go here and search for the show title: http://www.tvguide.com/listings/
