Since its opening in 1966, the Jules Stein Eye Institute-dedicated to the preservation of vision and the prevention of blindness-has played an integral role in ophthalmic care. Located on the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), the institute is a comprehensive center for research in the sciences related to vision, education in the broad field of ophthalmology, and the care of patients with eye disease.
