PORTLAND -- Refreshed mentally and physically after a year in retirement, Arvydas Sabonis is ready to resume his NBA career.

He's back because he was bored.

He and Rasheed Wallace are on good terms, and there are no ill feelings from that towel incident.

That was Sabonis' message Monday.

"I was tired mentally and physically (at the end of the 2000-01 season)," he said. "After eight or nine months of rest, I started to feel better."

Sabonis addressed the media on Monday for the first time since signing a multi-year deal with the Blazers. Training camp starts today.
