Cameron to Review Welsh Care Home Inquiry

David Cameron has announced a review into the suspect Welsh care home inquiry following days of reports about the scandal, and the appearance on Newsnight by Steve Meesham.

This is proof, if proof were needed, that the internet rumours of a cover up are almost certainly true.

The original TWO inquiries - one completely hidden and one set within narrow parameters - failed to reveal all the abuse and those people involved.  Before and since those inquiries there have been persistent reports of at least one senior Tory politician from the time of Thatcher's government being involved.

As with the Savile case, let's not focus on a single person.  Where there is one, there are dozens, hundreds.  Senior police, civil servants, celebrities, politicians - possibly even the Royals but we may have to wait a long time for that.

Dave's review seems like a significant step.  However...

welsh care home inquiry - two stickmen and a sheep

....

Despite my being a reasonable person who is not a conspiracist nutter (honest) - I am completely convinced that a pattern of cover up has been used by our masters since time began.  It is the normal state of affairs - not the exception.  I have previously mentioned names but let's just do them again - Iraq, Dunblane, Hillsborough, phone-tapping, expenses, banking - the list is endless.

Let's just look again at our newly moral and decent Prime Minister's decision.

The internet is already exposing the people involved and blowing open case after case.

Tom Watson is close to revealing what he knows under Parliamentary Privilege.

The finger of suspicion is being pointed at large numbers of senior people - some of whom, maybe most, perhaps all (joke) - are completely innocent.

...

How does Dave, friend of the people, get  a grip on this?  He needed something immediate to try to forestall the wide exposure of people outside of the government control.

A review might just do it.

People will wait for the review, and maybe the fuss will have died down by the time it reports.

Am I being unfair?

My brief trawl through the care home scandals, don't forget Haut de la Garenne, the Savile story and the general behaviour of the nest of corruption that forms the House of Parliament - leads me to expect little else.

Prove me wrong Dave.  I won't be betting on it.

...

You can expect David Cameron's answer to any questions about the scandal to explain how he has ordered a review and wants to wait for the results.

Very handy for not having to answer awkward questions.

"Why have we covered up for paedophiles?"

"You'll have to wait for the review".

Hillsborough took thirty years...

...

It might just be different this time.  If the security services do not kill or frame Tom Watson in the gap while the review is being.. what's the word... oh yes... written, and the internet generally keeps tabs on this stuff and exposes some more...

... maybe we will have some answers.

Personally, I don't ever expect the whole truth.  A couple of new names, and a tiny bit more of the ring exposed may have to do.

Our politicians have proven themselves to us, time after time, that they are twisted caricatures of the eager young things they presumably were at university.  The ideals they held, the changes they planned to make - and then power and reality set in.

Andrew Mitchell swears at police.  George Osbourne rides first class for free.

And as for David Cameron, our new can-do politician, ordering a review into the care home scandal - it seems only yesterday that he was cosying up to Rebekah Brooks and fixing the BSkyB deal for Murdoch.

...

Expecting a fair and honest review from this bunch of self-serving criminals?

Ah well.

Maybe the internet will just have to carry on doing what they should be doing - looking for some truth.

At least the powers that be are looking slightly worried by it.

Old Joke Corner

An old man is sat on a Welsh hill talking to a reporter.

You see that village down there?  When I stood for Parliament they all voted for me.  Do they call me Jones the Politician.... no.

And there's the Conservative Party Club - I gave them millions.  Do they call me Jones the Donor.... no.

I remember when the Queen knighted me - do they call me Jones the Knight?  No.

You shag one child...
