How to dress like James Bond
Could James Bond really be Bond without a classic, relaxed-fitting tuxedo? It seems as essential as a shaken martini and an Aston Martin.
Although the idea of carrying a suit like Daniel Craig or Sean Connery may seem far off, “Skyfall” costume designer Jany Temime describes the looks as deceptively accessible. If Temime had her way, everyone would incorporate more of Bond’s sophistication into everyday life.
“I think we have a tendency of letting go,” Temime told Style Blog. “Men should wear suits, and they should run with it. And why not? That idea of wearing elegant clothes when you work and still have all the comfort, that is something which I wanted to do with Bond.”
Temime’s approach to the latest 007 film, which debuts in theaters Friday, makes adopting a secret agent’s sense of style sound relatively easy. The designer focused on a few key elements that could make any wardrobe more appropriate for MI6.

“It’s Thanksgiving” dance song sings praises of mashed potatoes
Holidays! There are so many holidays, and it’s so hard to keep track. Luckily for us, there’s Nicole Westbrook — soon to be known as “The New Rebecca Black” — to help us remember which is which. Just as Rebecca Black — the teen viral star for her song, “Friday,” from 2011 — reminded us of all of the days of the week, Nicole Westbrook lists many of the holidays, with a heads-up for the next one: Thanksgiving.
After she dispenses with Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter and the Fourth of July, Westbrook uses a turkey drumstick as a microphone and sings the praises of the Thanksgiving feast: “Gotta be grateful / can’t be hateful / mashed potatoes on my, on my table.”

Michelle Obama celebrates four more years in a Michael Kors repeat
Election night was, in more ways than one, a night of returns: The Obamas to the White House and the FLOTUS to designer Micheal Kors. Her look was another from her campaign-trail dossier of affordable style by American designers.
Sasha and Malia also made a style statment on election night with their brightly colored A-line skirts. Tween moms across the country surely took note.

Holocaust documents reveal story behind Obama’s tailor
The story of Martin Greenfield, the 84-year-old, Czech-born tailor to presidents, proved particularly resonant with families touched by the Holocaust—or as in his case, devastated by it. My colleague Alice Crites and I could not have told his story so fully without records from a special archive, maintained at U.S. Holocaust Museum and Library.
Four years ago, seeing those records would have been impossible. In 2007, the museum, and other plaintiffs, won a legal case to open up a trove of records kept in Bad Arolsen, Germany, and administered by the government there. Before the suit, if survivors or their family members sought a record, they would receive only a summary of what the archive contained, not the actual documents.
