This game is a love letter to your childhood. If you're in your late twenties to mid-thirties, this game is made with you in mind because you will get the references, and you will be smiling through every second of it.

80s childhood. Play RCR and you will remember all the good days again.
The game itself works flawlessly on a netbook (despite of little black borders) and the game itself is only 28MB small. Not as small as Grandtheftendo would be on an NES cartridge, but damn small for a "new" game!
RCR is retro gaming at its best: Plenty of challenges, 2D-GTA gameplay, tons of references (Backread more to the Future, Star Wars,...) and a hell of a fun game! $15 is a bigger amount then it spend usually, but in this case, every little penny was worth it!

This game is fun, first and foremost! IF you are my age (in your 30s) and played games and grew up in the 80s and early 90s than you will love this. Every inch is filled with refrences to 80-90s movies, games , cliches, hair styles, politics, etc....
Everything is connected. It's GTA built on the nintendo with omages/ paradoies to other 2d games as the story stages. It's openread more world goodness that makes me play and play.
While i don't own the PC version of this game. I own the VITA/PS3 version and play on handheld. Being a longtime gog member I need to spread the word.
There are also tv emulation and filters which you can emulat e the screen to look like a Apple2, a 8088 with both CGA 4 color modes, EGA graphics, C-64 , zx spectrum, atari 7800, Nes, Genesis (blurst processing lol..), Gameboy, PC MDA monochrome, virtual boy red and black. It will even show the tv or system screen in the game or let you zoom in.
If you are on the fence about this one, don't be...go get it now!! What are you waiting for?
