Alison Sweeney has signed a new contract with Days of Our Lives. The actress, who's played Sami Brady since 1993, confirmed the news to Soap Opera Digest.

"The job continues to surprise and challenge me," Sweeney told Digest, admitting that she is "excited" and "honored" to stay with the soap. "I love Sami."

Sweeney juggles her full-time Days gig with her hosting duties on NBC's The Biggest Loser,which is slated to begin airing a new season in January.  She remains one of daytime's busiest actresses.

Sami and EJ will grow closer, when they begin working together. "We're putting our lock, stick and barrel in those two," shares Executive Producer Ken Corday.

After a 12 year absence, Eric Brady will return to Salem on November 13. Look for Nicole to be drawn into a major front burner storyline with her old lover.

John and Marlena will be at odds over Kristen. Although John believes she's changed, Marlena doesn't and she'll opt for some devious methods to keep her nemesis from ruining her marriage.

Gabi will receive surprising news that challenges her relationship with Nick as well as Will's relationship with Sonny.

After months of waiting "Wilson" fans are finally getting their wish. Days of Our Lives' Will and Sonny have sex on the show's November 14 episode.

Actors Chandler Massey (Will) and Freddie Smith (Will) talked to TV Guide about their characters' big moment.

"[It's] refreshing to have a couple in soaps who haven't been thrown together too quickly," said Massey. "We took our time before getting to the sex, and the characters and the show are better for it."

Smith added that the scenes are "very real and passionate but tasteful" and that taping went extremely smoothly.

"Chandler and I were much more nervous about our first kissing scene," admitted Smith, adding that he and Massey "are comfortable with each other and it shows... We trust each other."
