According to reliable sources in President Putin’s administration, Moscow seriously considers modifying its policy towards Azerbaijan. First sign came as the visit of the Russian presidential administration chief Sergey Ivanov to Baku was postponed. According to Azerbaijani media, Ivanov was expected to head the delegation participating in the third Azerbaijani-Russian interregional forum due on June 28 in Baku, but his visit to Azerbaijan was put off shortly before the event. The Russian delegation will now lead Gennady Khloponin, deputy prime minister of the Russian Federation. Furthermore, over 400 delegates were supposed to attend the forum, while now their number has been cut to 200.
