Stephen Franklin

Stephen Franklin is a former foreign correspondent for the Chicago Tribune. He has reported from Afghanistan to North Africa and lived extensively in the region. A Pulitzer Prize runner-up, he has also trained journalists in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. He is the editor and project manager for Islam on Main Street, an effort funded by the Carnegie Corp. to help US journalists understand Islam. He was a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Turkey.
