Shalini Mahtani is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Community Business, a non-profit organization in Hong Kong working with some of the world's largest companies in corporate social responsibility (CSR). Mahtani works on matters of CSR strategy, corporate community investment, diversity and work-life balance. Mahtani has advised many companies on CSR in Asia, conducted extensive research and written numerous publications on these subjects. In 2008, Mahtani was awarded an MBE from H.M. Queen Elizabeth II for services to corporate social responsibility in Hong Kong. In 2007, Mahtani was named Asia 21 Young Leader by the United States' Asia Society and as one of 35 global women leaders under the age of 35 by UK-based World Business. In 2005, Mahtani was awarded the ?Chief Executives Commendation for Community Service? by the Hong Kong SAR Government for her contribution to the ethnic minorities of Hong Kong. Previously, Mahtani had a career in accounting and banking. She is a graduate of the London School of Economics and a Certified Public Accountant.
