Business


 

Track will highlight how mHealth is impacting business and finance models. These models are often multi-faceted, requiring organizations from different industries to collaborate and align themselves with current policy and regulatory guidelines. The track will include reviews of pilots, models and practical lessons learned necessary to scale mHealth globally.

Global Health


 

The summit will also feature its first ever Global Health track, which will showcase applications of mHealth topics in the global health field. This cross-cutting track will highlight mHealth efforts to improve health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries including progress and challenges projects have encountered.

Health and Healthcare Delivery


 

Track will showcase the use of mHealth technologies to improve health and healthcare delivery at all income levels globally. From reducing costs, increasing access, quality, patient care coordination and engagement to the management of specific disease states, population health and self-health management this section will highlight emerging best practices.

Policy

Track will provide insights on the legal, health & regulatory policy of mHealth necessary to accelerate this promising engine of health care innovation. Concerns range from privacy & security, regulation of non-medical devices such as smartphones that use medical applications to national regulatory agencies broad jurisdiction over all health information technology, including software. 

Research


 

Track will highlight ground-breaking health research using mobile technologies both in clinical medicine and for public health outcomes. Paper and poster presentations will address research on a wide range of mobile health applications, including assessment and diagnostic tools, preventive health efforts, disease surveillance methods, chronic disease management, mobile telemedicine, and behavior change interventions. In addition to feasibility, usability and pilot studies of cutting-edge applications, presenters will also share rigorous and well-controlled evaluations of more mature applications.

Technology


 

Track will examine how current mHealth technologies and platforms are being developed, implemented and integrated into health and varied healthcare environments. This track will also provide an exploration of future innovations and technical advancements in sensors, infrastructure, and application development. The role of standards and need of mHealth specific guidelines will be addressed, including the impact on usability across multiple platforms.
