‘The Walking Dead’ renewed for fourth season, but showrunner steps down

You wouldn’t think AMC would announce a renewal of the network’s most popular show, “The Walking Dead,” on Take Out the Trash Day (a.k.a. right before a holiday weekend) — but it makes more sense when the announcement is accompanied with a statement like this:

”Walking Dead” (AMC - AP)
“AMC also jointly announces with [showrunner] Glen Mazzara today that for future seasons, the two parties have mutually decided to part ways... Both parties acknowledge that there is a difference of opinion about where the show should go moving forward, and conclude that it is best to part ways.”

Adding that the network was grateful for Mazzara’s hard work and the decision was “amicable,” the announcement noted that Mazzara will remain in charge and the exec producer through the second half of the third season.

‘The X Factor’: Tate Stevens wins second season

“The X Factor” finale kicks off in style with a rented red carpet, a pack of rented paparazzi, a rented cheering crowd, and some rented limos to drop off the show’s judges, where Ko-Hosts Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez are able to snag the first interviews.

Tate Stevens (AP)
“Love your chest hair, so sexy,” KKO tells arriving Supreme Judge and Man Cleavage Model Simon Cowell, stroking his chest. Simon keeps on walking because if everybody stays on schedule they can still get the half-day rental rate on everything.

As the judges arrive, Mario and Khloe hit their marks by mentioning the phrase “$5 million recording contract” five times in under three minutes. Then it’s back to the arrivals.

CBS sets win-a-job competition reality show premiere for Feb. 8

CBS announced Thursday its new win-a-job competition series “The Job” will premiere on Friday, Feb. 8.

In the series, five candidates will participate in several rounds of elimination challenges before a panel of executives as they compete for their dream job.
