By increasing air and water quality, mitigating climate change, reducing waste, noise and soil pollution in combination with safeguarding ecosystems and biodiversity, the wellbeing of European citizens will be improved as well

At the same time that societies are migrating to big cities causing them to mushroom and expand, humanity is also reaching out to the further edges of the planet, impacting the last few remaining wilderness areas. 

Across Europe almost one in ten of the active population is unemployed. 23 million people are without a job. At the same time employers continue to report recruitment difficulties and a shortage of talent in the labour market. To reach the Europe 2020’s employment target, nearly 18 million new jobs are needed.
