The College of Graduate Studies, which was established in 1994, includes programs that existed under the two previous faculties: the Faculty of Applied Science and the Faculty of Education. This College currently includes a wide range of scientific disciplines that are unique and unavailable in other universities of the Arab Gulf states. The College of Graduate Studies in the Arabian Gulf University's administrative structure is totally different from the other units, as it depends on organizing graduate studies between various faculties of the university. It is an academic institution that offers integrated courses for students specializing in various disciplines that are given elsewhere .

The College has programs in special education, through which it creates able educators that are capable of nurturing the talented students, those with learning difficulties, (including students with mental disabilities and autism), as well as preparing specialists to be able to plan and implement distance educational and training programs .

It also includes programs in the field of technology to create specialists in the fields of deserts and arid lands (numerous programs including desert environment and desert resources, desert agriculture and farming techniques, hydroponics,  information systems of geographic remote sensing, and hydrogeology), biotechnology, technical, management, environmental management, water resources management .

Since the College pays great attention to the quality of the educational curricula, it uses the method of "case study" which is the approach that is utilized through out the various programs offered in the college, as well as working on the linking what the student specializes in, the culture, creed, environment, and community. Therefore, a program in Islamic culture is offered that aims to demonstrate the foundations of this culture and portrays its various dimensions; including the humanity, civilization and science .

The College is proud to have many of its graduates occupy positions in agencies and institutions the Gulf, in which they demonstrate their ability to meet the challenges. It welcomes students, wishing them success and excellence in their studies and with hopes they prove able to continue the march towards a brighter and more prosperous future for the Arab nation.
