MOU signing for collaborative research on autism
On 24 July 2012, Autism Research Centre of the University of Cambridge, Cambridge Institute of Public Health, University of Cambridge and the Department of Rehabilitation, China Disabled Persons’ Federation signed a 4-parties MOU with the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care at CUHK in Nanjing.  This MOU aims to facilitate the exploration of collaborative research, faculty and student development opportunities for the mutual benefit of the four parties on autism research.

Snail hunting with WHO experts

In response to the recent outbreaks of human fascioliasis with fatal cases in southern China, two master students of our School (Philip Yeung and Michelle Tsang) worked with World Health Organization (WHO) experts Prof. Santiago Mas-Coma and Dr. Maria Bargues to collect samples of its snail vectors in Hong Kong.

Prof. Sian Griffiths, Director of The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care, chaired a panel for drawing up guidelines for patients and doctors on the ideal form of primary care, for which Prof. Griffiths was interviewed by SCMP on the importance of focusing on prevention in health reform by strengthening primary care.
