Newscoop installation is supported on Ubuntu Linux 12.04 (Precise), Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 (Squeeze), and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 (Santiago). A tarball is provided for other GNU/Linux distributions which can provide the necessary dependencies (GPL v3). Install using our easy guides or check out Newscoop Pro for our custom installation services.

 

MySQL setup

If you do not already have a database set up for Newscoop, please follow these instructions.

 

Automated install (supported distributions)

Newscoop Debian, Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise packages are now available!

 

Manual install (all distributions)

Download the latest version of Newscoop 4.0.4 to your server, then follow these instructions.

Need to upgrade? 

Upgrading is supported from version 3.5.0 and above. To upgrade from a lower version, you must first install Newscoop 3.5.x. Then follow these upgrade instructions. Newscoop 3.5 themes should upgrade and be compatible with version 4.0.x
