Five years after he left KNBR to gain experience, Damon Bruce returns to The Sports Leader as a host of “The Damon Bruce Show” on KNBR 1050. Along with Larry Kreuger, Damon hosts the 49ers post-game show.

A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in broadcasting, Bruce spent one year at KNBR as a producer of KNBR talk shows and sporting events. Damon first gained national exposure hosting Sports Overnight America, before leaving to become a Sports Center anchor on ESPN Radio. While at ESPN, he also hosted Sports Center for ESPN international. He later was a fill-in host on Fox Sports Radio and Sporting News Radio and before rejoining KNBR, Bruce was a morning anchor at WOWO news talk radio in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Bruce is also the play-by-play voice for the highly successful game, “The Bigs”, released in June of 2007 by 2K-Sports.

But his goal was always to return to KNBR. “It’s an honor to be back in the studios where I started my broadcasting career five years ago,” says Bruce. “Covering legendary franchises like the Giants, 49ers, and Warriors is an incredible opportunity and a dream come true.”

Damon Bruce can be heard each weekday on KNBR 1050, 12Noon-3pm and after games.
