In The Culture of Critique and other writings I have developed the view that Jews and the organized Jewish community were a critical necessary condition for the rise of multiculturalism in the West. In Chapter 7, on Jewish involvement in shaping immigration policy, I focused mainly on the U.S., but also had brief sections on England, Canada, Australia (greatly elaborated recently in TOO by Brenton Sanderson), and France.
One question I often get is about the role of Jews in Sweden and other European countries with relatively few Jews. Now there has been a translation from Swedish of an article, “How and why Sweden became multicultural,” that summarizes academic writing on the Jewish role in making Sweden into a multicultural society. This article should be read in its entirety, but some salient points:
The ideological change started in 1964 when David Schwarz, a Polish born Jew and Holocaust survivor who immigrated to Sweden in the early 1950s, wrote the article “The Immigration problem in Sweden” in Sweden’s largest and most important morning newspaper – the Jewish-owned Dagens Nyheter (“Daily News”). It started a rancorous debate that mostly took place in Dagens Nyheter, but which subsequently continued even in other newspapers, on editorial pages and in books. …
Schwarz was by far the most active opinion-former and accounted for 37 of a total of 118 contributions to the debate on the immigration issue in the years 1964-1968. Schwarz and his co-thinkers were so dominant and aggressive that debaters with an alternative view were driven on the defensive and felt their views suppressed. For example, Schwarz played the anti-Semitism card efficiently in order to discredit his opponents. …
It was the conservative Rightist Party who first embraced the idea of cultural pluralism and greatly contributed to shape the new radical direction. It is worth mentioning that the chairman of the Rightist Party 1961-1965, Gunnar Heckscher, was the party’s first leader of Jewish descent.
As in the U.S. and elsewhere, Jewish activists were aided by Jewish media ownership. Activists stressed the need to reshape immigration policy to atone for persecution of Jews—in the case of Sweden, the role of the Swedish government vis-à-vis Jews during World War II. (In the U.S., Jewish activists emphasized that the 1924 immigration law was motivated by anti-Semitism, and many activists, including academic activists like Stephen J. Gould (in his notorious The Mismeasure of Man; see here, p. 30ff, claimed that U.S. immigration restriction resulted in Jews dying in the Holocaust. Even Stephen Steinlight, who advocates restriction of Muslim immigration (and only Muslim immigration), termed the 1924 law “evil, xenophobic, anti-Semitic,” “vilely discriminatory,” a “vast moral failure,”a “monstrous policy”; see here, p. 5)
Assimilation to Swedish culture was viewed as an unacceptable goal:
The starting point was thus a cultural pluralist perspective, which meant that immigrants with massive government intervention and financial support would be encouraged to preserve their culture (and thus send out signals to the world that Sweden is a tolerant country where everyone is welcome). The meeting between the Swedish culture and minority cultures would be enriching to the whole community and the majority population would begin to adapt to the minorities. …
It is not a coincidence that Europe’s organized Jews consistently dissociate themselves from politically organized critics of Islam, because every negative generalization towards a minority group ultimately can hit the Jews.
The article notes, and I agree, that Jews are motivated by the desire to break down ethnically and culturally homogeneous societies because of fear that such societies may turn on Jews, as occurred in Germany, 1933-1945, but also because of traditional Jewish hatred toward the Christian civilization of the West. It concludes by noting that, besides Jewish media ownership, Jewish influence was facilitated by the dominance of academic anthropology by the Boasian school — a Jewish intellectual movement — and its views on cultural relativism and denigration of Western culture.
I agree entirely that Jewish influence stems from their being an academic and media elite, as well as their ability to develop highly effective, well-funded activist organizations. Here, the role of Bruno Kaplan of the World Jewish Congress is emphasized.
This is an important contribution to the understanding of the impending death of the West. Needless to say, such an analysis does not obviate the need for an understanding of why Western cultures have been uniquely susceptible to ideologies that view the destruction of the West as a moral imperative. (Reminder: I am still accepting papers for a special issue of The Occidental Quarterly on White pathology; email me) Nevertheless, it is vitally important to understand the forces that have actively sought to move Western cultures in this direction.

Jewish involvement in changing America’s demographic profile is of course well documented. At this website, I also learned about their role in shaping social movements and government policies in South Africa as well as Australia (in the 5 part series few months ago). And now little Sweden too. There are other western countries though not as well documented. In any case, it seems to be a global phenomenon by the same group using the same strategy for whatever purpose. Thank you for opening my eyes.
Some posters on this site routinely insisted that third world immigration to places like Sweden and Norway was a result of liberal policies and not jewish agitation, their argument being that the Nordic countries didn’t have enough jews to enforce multiculturalism.
We should know by now that the number of jews in the country doesn’t matter. A couple dozen rich jews in seats of power is enough to wreck the whole country, especially when their cousins in NY, London, and DC are willing to work with them.

I am reminded of the story the Jews tell how they became Jews. They encountered this mountain of destruction impending over them. They overcame their impending destruction collectivly….some of you may know the rest of the story.
If the West can not do this, because it is being destroyed collectivly, and it has thrown out their redemptive prophet, then the only ones that will escape are individuals by the immersion to the larger collective. It may be to the knowledge of Jews and plan all along, and it should be all the more reason to strengthen the remaining western collective/ indiviualists. If Christianity remains erroneously individualistic in it’s redemptive teachings and process, and fails or falters in cohesion collectively, it will save but a few collective wise individuals, and only a ‘remains’ of the West. As I see for Americans, they’ve sold out, $$$$$ from the inside out, and cut their ties from Europe, or the most part (forgetting where they came from) long time ago, and pride them selves in their seperation and individualism and turned on their own. Europe has still a chance, along with some wise and intelligent Americans, and they do exist. Pride has always come before the Fall. (I distinguish between healthy and unhealthy pride. Just read that todays University Students here in the US are in very high percentage “Narcisstic”. A major change.) That should tell you Americas future. I am Just evaluating and looking for solutions. If I stepped on anyones/ your toes, remember I’ve been stepped on hundred fold. Just trying to survive the mad-mad world.

It’s worth noting that the Jews promoting multiculturalism/secularism/pluralism tend to be the lapsed and secular Jews. In other words, not the orthodox (see Roots of Radicalism for some citations). For many non-religious Jews, there is nowhere to go – not back to synagogue and shul, which they loathe, and not towards assimilation, which is tantamount to conversion. So the remaining alternative is militant secularism/multicultarism, etc. In other words, they will not change, but they will change the society. A true multicularism is not actually a bad idea – the Amish and the orthodox and the Mormons are not trying to change society, as long as they are left alone. Ironically, it’s this radical secularism which is the greatest danger to Jews. See the recent controversy in Germany over circumcision.

Thanks to the internet, we now know fully well what the main goal of the Jews has been for an untold number of decades. In essence, Jews have been working in unison towards the creation of a worldwide plural society with the eradication of national boundaries. We see this occurring in all White nations at present. The modus operandi is similar for each country; once Jews control these three pillars of power; media, banking, and politics, they gain control of the host nation.
With banking, they are able to privatize their profits and socialize their losses, create economic depressions, and weaken the currency. With the media, they are able to change customs, beliefs, and traditions by simply repeating their mantra over an indefinite period of time until it becomes acceptable, such as with diversity, gay rights, feminism, gun control, and the degradation of Christianity. With politics, they are able to undermine existing laws and foment their own, such as with immigration and hate crime laws.
As of now, Jews have been working at fever pitch towards the demise of all White nations. From what we know already, we are able to predict what the future holds in store. In order to achieve their goal of a plural society and a one world government, Jews must stay their present course. We can expect the continued decline of the economy and currency in order for the creation of a new economic zone and new currency. The media will continue to create programming to corrupt our youth and destabilize the family unit, degrade Christianity, promote immigration in addition to gay rights and feminism, call for the ban on guns and free speech, demonize Whites and exalt minorities, and propagate lies to gain public support for illegal foreign wars. In 1932 Jews in general were still very sympathetic to the Bolshevik Revolution, which they knew Jews played a large part in — and of course this was before the later purges that eliminated some of the Jewish leadership.
Walter Duranty and the New York Times certainly contributed to the deaths of millions of Ukrainians in the Holodomor by short-circuiting attempts to bring it to the world’s attention and to get the intervention of the US and other countries. But the Times in unapologetic.

MacDonald’s ideas seem to have inspired those who maintain the single Jewish-cause hypothesis for White (or Swedish) weakness and their eventual demise as a people.
Let’s use the example of Marcus above: While at first thought the fact that Jews have higher IQs than most Whites appears to assign plausibility to the hypothesis that their psyops have converted Whites into “extended phenotypes” of the tribe—like crickets infected with gordian worms committing suicide—, how would “monocausalists” explain that throughout the latest thirteen centuries the “worm” (i.e., the Jew) has been unable to infect the minds of people of even lower IQs than us, the Muslims? The fact is that Muslims have never behaved like suicidal crickets (“What is good for the worms [Jews]?”) in their Islamic nations.
In contrast to the monocausalists’ psychological reductionism my hypothesis is that, in addition to the Jewish problem, there are other factors for our woes: what MacDonald calls “white pathology” above. Remember what I said about Wuthering Heights a few months ago here at TOO? (“Reread Brontë’s novel to understand the Swedes…!”).
Read also Pierce’s and Kemp’s histories of the white race. Although they are very conscious of the Jewish problem, it shocked me to learn in their books that the same suicidal tendencies among Whites that we see today have happened since the very first civilizations in Mesopotamia and ancient Egypt, and always because of White greed: easy work through the slavery or second-class status of Semites, Nubians and Arabs in the lands conquered by peoples of Indo-European origin. The same thing happened in Greece, Rome, and, later, in the American subcontinent conquered by the Iberians.
MacDonald is no promoter of the single cause hypothesis. On the contrary, I find it fascinating that some of MacDonald’s sentences in his Trilogy hint that Whites have some unique hardware characteristics that, historically, have weakened their ethno-centric defenses.
My diagnosis:
I believe that, together with the egalitarian software that I call the Christian/Secular Christian problem (liberalism run amok after the French Revolution) and the One Ring of greed and power (economics over race), these factors constitute part of the ingredients of the formula that’s killing us—plus the J ingredient.
From this point of view the Jewish problem would be a very strong catalyst that has accelerated the suicidal/homicidal process in the last centuries since the emancipation of Jewry, but certainly not the ONLY active ingredient in the brew.
After all, you must be insane in the first place to empower such a subversive tribe, as was done by crazy liberals after the French Revolution.

If this circumcision kerfuffle were going anywhere, it would simply never be covered in the mainstream press, lest it give their enemies encouragement. If it were a danger, it would have been deep-sixed a year or more ago, and its proponents would have found themselves financially ruined and perhaps looking at prison sentences for fabricated offenses.

@Michael Schwartz: I see your point. In the spirit of multiculturalism, I wish Americans descended from the different European Nations would begin asserting themselves, multiculturally. Germans and Austrians could go to work wearing short leather pants and knee high socks with a hat that has a feather in it. Frenchmen and woman could go to work wearing berets, English can go to work smoking pipes,(Comoys of London would be nice but the company went under), Scotsman, or course can go to work wearing a kilt, but must be a “good” Scotsman and never wear anything under the kilt, and so on. I am Norwegian, and that was a really stupid article.
Mary Wollstonecraft mentioned that the Danes was the most content people she had ever met, and that they were in love with themselves, their King and their country. This was over 200 years ago.
She also noticed that the Swedes were subjects, that had to do what they were told, and that the Norwegians were the freest and most egalitarian, but had very little intellectual life.
All of this is still true today. Swedes are still ruled from Stockholm, Danes still like Danes and Denmark, while the Norwegians can mostly do and say what they like.
Norway had a Jewish justice minster that gave us hate laws around a decade ago, but the result was that the lay judges refused to give a guilty verdict. If this happens a few times, the paragraph by customary law becomes sleeping, as the custom now says says that people are freed even though it is illegal.
Because the Jew-media have been so repressive in Sweden, Sweden have by far the biggest alternative media in the world. The new media as the Swedes call it, has now become so big, that it is starting to overcome the old media on the net, and the new media is not shy about talking about the Jewish role in immigration. It is sure to say that both the old media and the Swedish elite are panicking at the moment.
Fascinating. Israel attempts to instil ‘anglo’ philosophy of voting on shared values and principles and not ethnic interests. Of course they do this in context of heavily protecting the borders from legal and illegal immigration of a non-Jewish character.

All very troubling, yes, but there is no such thing as a no-win situation. If nothing can be done to stop these processes, then we will simply have to use them to our advantage against the people who constructed them in the first place.
Take the European Union, for example. Obviously, compulsory referendum-based entry of every European country into the E.U. can not be prevented democratically. While that’s unfortunate, it does pose it’s own opportunity.
How so?

Secularism is the greatest threat to Jews, that is clear. Jews are very quickly committing suicide faster even than whites. Exogamy is running at extremely high rates. @Chechar: Good point, I think Mideastern countries have better natural defenses. most likely since they are tribal in nature themselves. If you read about the eastern Jews’ history you see that there were probably fewer expulsions, but that’s because the Jews were segregated from the host population for the most part. These Jews could only practice certain professions and couldn’t own horses or weapons. There were some outbursts similar to those in Europe when Jews were appointed as viziers or other important and conspicuous positions, especially in Andalusia. Of course one of the reasons the Spaniards expelled the Jews in 1492 was that the Moors often employed Jews to exploit the Christian population.
This article is true. What makes Sweden so much more extreme in terms of immigration compared to the rest of scandinavia? The jewish ruling class! Thank you for bringing this up, Kevin MacDonald. I only recently became aware of that debate initiative in Swedish press during the 60′s. I believe it was the king Gustav III who first allowed jews to settle in Sweden in the 1700′s. Imagine if he hadn’t done that. He was assasinated in 1792, though as far as I know the assasination had nothing to do with his decision of letting the jews settle.

Gents: Living as I do in NYC, the New World’s first-, second-, or third-leading cesspool of complete Judaic control and triumphalism (Hollywood and DC being the other contenders), it is perfectly plain to me that you are reasoning in bubblelike isolation from the verifiable sense evidence (no offense meant, Marcus). The Tribe’s blood is not a solution that obeys the laws of chemistry or physics; that is, its efficacy or harm does not decrease as its concentration within the solution as a whole diminishes. It is, rather, a insoluble substance, one that retains its structural integrity no matter how widely dispersed it is.
Look at the plain fact of Jewish law: even the hyperorthodox weirdos grant that Judaism is matrilineal. If a woman is genetically 1/256th Jewish but all her female antecedents also had a Jewish mother, all of her children are welcomed as fully Jewish within their ruling community. Not only do vast numbers of such kids “go Jewish”—why wouldn’t they, after all, especially in an ever more secular society where “moral” conduct is considered something only for suckers and mugs?—but they do so with enthusiasm. I see it all around me. Everyone else could see it, too; one’s eyes need only be open.
Of course, few Jews are matrilinealist sticklers. Most will accept you into their ethnic club after only the least challenging genetic hurdle is jumped. Indeed, my former publishing boss, a homosexual with Gentile northern Italian and German bloodlines extending back centuries, has been welcomed as a Jew because his “partner”—now “spouse,” thanks to the liberal farsightedness of one of the Northeast’s most “inclusive” states—is Jewish! As the old saying goes, you can’t make these things up.
Consider, if you will, just one thing that has been mentioned on TOO threads more than once: since, I believe, the early nineties, the federal government has been constrained, by its own law regarding the constitutionally mandated decennial census, from publishing or even officially counting the number of Jews living in the USA. Are Polynesians counted?—yes; Inuit, yes; Andaman Islanders, yes; alleged Mohican descendants of Uncas, yes. Jews? NO; a thousand times NO!
Why else would the Jewish lobby press for such legislation—as indeed it did—but to conceal its penetration of every echelon of American society save the most powerless? Furthermore, has any cultural observer seen and commented upon evidence of a diminution of Jewish power anywhere in the West in the past thirty years? Merely posing the question is enough to prompt derisive laughter.
The only people expressing any concern about a watering down of Jewishness—by which they mean Jewish blood, not Jewish influence—have been such Jews as Elliott Abrams and Alan Dershowitz. Has anyone noticed either of them falling upon hard times? Besides, whether their “concern” is crocodilian or somewhat more genuine hardly matters. Had their been any danger that its expression might harm the Tribe or its position atop American society, their books would never have been published. Don’t forget who runs every major American publishing house.
The true guiding light, here as so often elsewhere, comes from KM. As he famously wrote, Judaism is a group evolutionary strategy. The Tribe has discovered, perhaps even to its own surprise, that “blood may be thicker than water” is only half the story: what is much more, its own blood seems to be thicker than everyone else’s!
Until the vast Tribal component consisting of the quarter, eighth, sixteenth, and thirty-second Jewish begins to see some profit in taking a daily dose of metaphoric blood thinner, look for little or no change in the status quo.
An interesting difference between Nordic nations is that Finland seems to have escaped much of feminism and multiculturalism. They have a fraction of third world immigration despite being a neighbour country to Sweden and Norway. Denmark and Norway are more affected but still less so than Sweden. Why the difference?

From my own experience (Brussels, Belgium) the vast majority of Muslim immigrants here in Europe are as good as secularised.
Between 80 and 90% of them vote for socialist parties because they care mainly about welfare payments.

As a bonus, the controversy about Muslim headscarves in French schools was initiated by… You guessed it, Jewish socialists (Jack Lang and Laurent Fabius). It was never an issue before they brought it up.

That Barbara Spectre is really something. The first time i saw her Youtube video about how Sweden is “now going into multicultural mode, and Jews will be blamed for it,” I screamed at the monitor, “YOU’RE GOING TO BURN IN HELL FOR THIS YOU OLD WITCH!!!”
I’m sure my neighbors love these outbursts. My anger from the injustices being done to whites nearly drives me out of my mind.
If I could find a way to make a living from being a full time white advocate that would suit me well. As it is, I spend almost every spare waking moment composing and writing letters and emails, and making calls to our lovely leaders in Washington. I’m pushing really hard against amnesty. I’m stunned that this president claims to have a mandate for amnesty. He’s out of his mind. I agree with the comment above that the Jews are going full bore and it looks like they’re not going to stop until they have totally destroyed every white country. You’d think they’d have the common sense to back off, that they’d have learned some history lesson by now. Clearly, they’re not as smart as they think they are.
Regarding that, I suppose now infamous, Barbara Spectre video, the usual suspects may have become more careful about publicly revealing their intent. However, they strike me as the boasting types. Notwithstanding omissions by an astute editor of documentaries such as the Spectre video, there will likely continue to be spontaneous outbursts caught on video once in a while that reinforces what we already know.

I found another video regarding multiculturalism and immigration in Sweden. It involves Somalis protesting for what they believe is abuse by their host welfare state. Among other things, they want a house instead of just an apartment already given to them. The demands are quite astonishing from a people, that as the argument goes, could become contributors given some initial investment.
Somalis and other sub-Saharans left in significant numbers for Western countries since the 1980s when air travel became generally more available to the third world – I recall Somalis in those days from direct experience. With Somalis everywhere, one of their primary “occupations” is that of welfare collector. Human capital “investments” have done nothing. In other words, multiculturalism is does not “enrich” a community, at least not with sub-Saharans. The problem is not just the economy.
It’s my understanding that Sweden has a policy where Somalis claiming refugee status cannot be refused entry meaning any Somali can emigrate to Sweden any time. This open door policy has been a factor for a great part of crime including all rapes in Sweden (or somewhere around there) being attributable to Somalis as immigrant selection process essentially does not exist.
That begs the question then, why do countries like Sweden continue to be masochistic. I suppose as other posters have pointed out, it has to do with the opinion influencing media being totally under the control. Probably government and education to some extent by lobbyists such as Barbara Spectre. But that is not sufficient explanation because for surely it is clear to the average native Swede that immigration of the type occurring is hurting them economically and socially. It then begs the question when will enough of them say enough is enough.
@Paris Claims: Increasing anti-Semitism serves not only to unite the diaspora Jewish community, but if sufficiently virulent, to drive young diaspora Jews to make aliyah (IDF’s new blood, Israel’s new taxpayers). Many of the elderly diaspora Jews are too tired to run (and not attractive to Israel in any case, ie. a burden on health, welfare organs, can’t fight, maybe not even be fluent in Hebrew, etc.) and they contribute monetarily to Jewish and Israeli causes. Though it changes a country’s characteristics in the long term thereby contrary to liberals’ notion of diversity, interracial relationships and results thereof doesn’t affect everyone in the short term. To add to your comment, if indeed Somalis in their native environment are lean (I’ve never seen Somalis in Somalia), then food that is rich and abundant makes them prone to all manners of diseases associated with overweightness. The key word here is ‘abundant’ for people who are not accustomed to self regulating or limiting their intake because of cultural and/or behavioral genetic factors suitable for their native environment. On the other hand, food in a well run industrial country is abundant even for welfare recipients.
There’s another important factor often overlooked for sub Saharan and other peoples whose complexions are naturally dark: vitamin D is implicated in regulation of genes and health factors including serious ones such as cancer. Europeans and in particular northern Europeans developed light skin for the very reason to help synthesize vitamin D – which is essential to good health – by allowing sunlight to better penetrate the skin. The human body can make vitamin D in the presence of UVA from, say, natural sunlight. Melanin of is of a natural sunblock. There is also a theory that light skin developed in part due to introduction of grain in the diet, away from animal sources which have varying levels of vitamin D albeit Europeans and Asians, also grain eaters, took to eating fish which is among the better natural sources of vitamin D. Pickled herring in particular is popular in Scandinavia and Baltic countries, although shades of evolutionary genetics, they may not be aware why they like it. Inuit, whose native range is in the polar region, consumed such a great amount of fish, thus abundant vitamin D, in their aboriginal diet to the point they didn’t need lighter skin. In fact, they have complexion darker than Asians and Europeans despite longer winter nights and being covered head to toe in clothing (sunblock) all times of the year for warmth.
The point of this is that just as Europeans are not naturally designed for equatorial living (they can do well in the southernmost tip of Africa which in actuality is a temperate zone), other people are maladapted for life in a temperate zone, let alone a country like Sweden which is partly in the arctic circle.
Getting back to my argument about adverse economic impact of massive, under-regulated immigration, the healthcare costs become burdensome by importing people who are much more likely to suffer from chronic overweightness and vitamin D deficiency, among other conditions, with all their medical implications, some very serious and expensive. This is exacerbated if said people do not generate net wealth but instead in many cases draw from the national treasury of a welfare state.
In conclusion, not only is it a bad deal for the country that takes them in, it’s not good for the said newcomers either. But, as pawns, their health and general well being once arriving is not taken into consideration by those promoting multiculturalism and immigration because their objective seem to be something else. Further evidence of this will come when said newcomers are encouraged to moderate their diet and take vitamin D supplements all the while allowing further increase of their number. If the objective truly is to help all these poor Somalis and other third worlders as claimed, it would be better to help develop their home countries (not misguidedly give food directly as is now the case) so that they can stay and thrive in their native environments for which they are adapted rather than bringing them to a foreign one in which they do not socially fit and also makes them ill.

@Alice Teller: My intent was not to shame you (you have probably already figured) but thanks for what I take to be kind words. I was of course trying to say “Yeah it’s a good idea and here are some details I wish to contribute”. So whether or not originally intended to be a serious suggestion, you “quip” nevertheless brings to mind novel strategies to combat neo-liberalism. (I don’t want to call it “liberalism” if you recall our conversation about the true meaning of that word, how it and for other noble concepts have been twisted.)
Perhaps further development of this branch of the comments here is better reserved for one of those “activism” articles. Suffice to say for now there is merit in your other suggestions (you probably have more) for combating neo-liberal agendas with their own arguments, that of neo-liberal sub-types or of their allies particularly where there is incompatibility of an agenda with another.

By the way, that short essay is essential, no matter whether it is true or not. Why this?
I give an example.
I you are a swimmer, and there is a sea with dark water, you do not spring with the head forward into the water. There “might” be a rock beneath the surface and in that case you will be dead if you spring. No matter “if” there is a rock or not, you will not spring.
Same is the case with the white race. Maybe we are in the process of being exterminated by a competitor who uses a lot of tricks. Maybe that is true or not. That does not matter anything. In both cases we must be careful and try to secure our own survival and that of our own children and grandchildren. — The fact alone, that there “might” be some actions going on which within some decades will exterminate the white race (by flooding the white countries with non-white people) forces us to be careful and to take effective countermeasures.
Was it fear of violence, really? Or was it reaction against assimilation? The members of a successful, homogeneous society will be quite appealing to Jews and therefore will be a temptation toward assimilation. Of course, this is spun by Judaic activists as a fear of violence. But the true fear has always been assimilation and unity with others: a fear of love, not of hatred.
It is well documented that the early Zionists were motivated by a hatred of intermarriage. See Jabotinsky. Of course, the Zionist movement is spun instead as having been provoked by “pogroms.” Likewise, Judaic efforts to undermine other communities are spun as the self defense of anxious Jews against Gentile violence.
