- Upper Left Photo: Pink and red Valentine Flower -- Follow the free crochet pattern for the easy crocheted flower using Bernat Softee Baby yarn in the "Prettiest Pink" color. Set it aside; attach a scrapbooking brad to a couple of scrapbooking flowers, then stitch the whole thing to the crocheted flower. My brad is by Queen & Co, and my scrapbooking flowers are by Petaloo.
- Upper Middle Photo: Crochet the same flower using Cascade 220 wool yarn in the natural color; top the crocheted flower off with the same scrapbooking flowers described above.
- Upper Right Photo: Crochet the small popcorn flower in "Prettiest Pink" Bernat Softee baby yarn.
- Lower Left Photo: Crochet the frost flower and attach a pretty button in the center.
- Lower Middle Photo: Crochet the abstract flower motif. Tie some pretty ribbon in a bow; stitch it onto the flower. Pin an interesting pinback button onto the front of the flower.

Free Patterns With a Snowman Theme
I do not know what compels people to risk chilled fingers and even frostbite to build snowmen. I enjoyed it as a child, but nowadays I'd rather stay warm and dry inside, preferably with a snuggly crochet project in hand. You with me on that?
The good news: you can make snowmen -- crocheted ones, knitted ones, edible ones, etc. -- without getting one bit cold. We invite you to check out our list of free snowman-themed patterns, which includes crochet patterns and other free craft patterns and ideas.
Pictured here: Erica Jackofsky's cute snowman baby hat. The snowman appliques double as earflaps that will keep baby toasty and warm. The pattern is sized for preemies, babies and toddlers.

Free Pattern for Crocheted Baby Booties With Snowman Designs
Aren't these baby booties adorable? The booties each feature a cute snowman motif. They'd be a welcome baby shower gift or a wonderful addition to a baby's winter wardrobe.
These booties coordinate with a snowman baby hat. You can crochet either pattern separately if you like, but together they make a fantastic matching set. Both patterns were designed by Erica Jackofsky.

Crocheting Blankets
For the patient and persistent crocheter, blankets can be the ultimate cozy crochet projects. They tend to require more of a commitment than smaller crochet projects do, both in time and materials -- but there's nothing quite like the feeling of accomplishment you get when you are finished crocheting one.
