Copy Kids review & giveaway!

Boy do I have a GREAT review for parents with picky eaters!
I received a copy of this amazing video called Copy Kids which is a great great video that is such a clever way to get kids to eat their fruits and veggies. We all know that children are little mimickers and always do exactly as other children do, and the makers of this video have realized that and turned it into an awesome tool.

Copy Kids is a DVD designed for children 6 months to 5 years of age with 12 short 7 minute videos of other children eating various fruits and vegetables. Brilliant if you ask me! Which is why I was so excited to try this DVD on my own daughter! Copy Kids has already received two children's excellence awards! One from Dr. Toy and another from MACT. Copy Kids is also approved by the USDA and has been added to the Education and Training Materials Database for pre-school nutrition. I'm not going to get into the history of the creation of the Copy Kids DVD, but basically a mother realized that her daughter liked to eat what other children were eating and she came up with an awesome idea!

Now for my review, it was kind of difficult with getting pics, my child does NOT sit still for long! BUT I was able to get 2 pictures of her eating foods she has NEVER tried before.

The first item we tried was Broccoli, I have never been able to get her to eat broccoli, raw or cooked before. We were having steamed broccoli for dinner and when she pushed away her plate, I knew this was probably the best opportunity I was going to have to test it out. SO off we go to sit in the living room and eat dinner while watching the broccoli chapter on our DVD, after getting about halfway through the video, she did it, she picked up a piece of broccoli and shoved it in her mouth! I was cheering her on and she loved it! So we watched it probably about 2 more times before almost all of her broccoli was gone!

And on to our second test, Bell Peppers.
I was in kind of a rush preparing some recipes for a friends shower I was throwing, and as I was cutting up some peppers I realized there was a bunch I didn't need, so again, we sat in the living room and started the bell pepper chapter, this one only took 2 runs before she was full. AND I was able to snap a pic of this one! I was so proud of her chowing down on her raw peppers! She now loves them!

The third and fourth one is from this evening, Blueberries and Raspberries.
Now I really have never had a problem with her eating certain fruits, but shes getting to the point where she is refusing things she once ate, like blueberries. We tried the blueberries first, then the raspberries, only a few were left in the bowl when she was done.
She also saw them putting the raspberries on their fingers and eating them, which she tried. It was cute and the only pic I could get!

Overall I thought this was an awesome tool and I can't wait to try the rest of the chapters on the DVD! I know I forgot to mention the 12 chapters also which are: Bell Peppers, Carrots, Avocado, Broccoli, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Bananas, Apples, Strawberries, Oranges, Raspberries & Blueberries. And there is also a chapter with an interview with Dr. Jay Gordon

I know I am most definitely looking forward to having her try the cucumber, avocado and tomatoes! The fruits I think the only ones she doesn't eat right now are the Bananas and oranges, yes my child doesn't like bananas! But that is why I am glad I have this video to help me!
